Hi ladies. I am Eurasian and have olive skin. I am 50 years and I want to get rid of the lines around my eyes (both crows feet and wrinkles (not that many!)) and reduce the size of my pore on my face near my nose.
Skinterra recommended the following MD products as a replacement for ISC.
morning:
MD Skincare All-in-One Cleanser vs ISC Cleansing Complex
MD Skincare Anti-Aging Vitamen C Gel vs ISC Super Serum + Hydra Cool
evening:
MD Skincare All-in-One Cleanser vs ISC Cleansing Complex
MD Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel Pads v ISC Active Serum
MD Skincare Hydra-Pure Intense Moisture Treatment vs ISC Hydra Cool or Moisturing Complex
Can anyone tell me which of these two lines are better. Obviously MD Skincare is a lot cheaper but I want something that is more effective and really works. |

Hi, I am not familiar with MD Skincare, but what about looking at the Cellex-C Betaplex line? SkinTerra does not sell Cellex-C, so I guess it is obvious they would recommend something they sell.
I have seen some very good reviews on the Line Smoother and always had intended to try it, but got wooed by the ISC Active Serum (at twice the price). Next time I am going with the Betaplex!
Why not mail the ladies at EDS and ask their recommendations for replacement of the IS Clinical products you use. EDS sells MD Skincare, Cellex-C, MD Formulations etc. etc., so if they also chose MD Skincare, then it must be a decent option. |

I'm using the MD Skincare C serum at the moment. It seems to separate and is fairly dark yellow in colour already. I like the texture but if I were buying one of the two you mentioned then it would be the IS Clinical one. Somehow I don't feel that it's as effective as other C serums I have tried. I'm mainly saying this because I had some breakouts recently and it hasn't faded as quickly as it does when I use Cellex-C for example. HTH |

There's absolutely no comparison between the two lines. ISC products are far superior. I don't think MD Skincare is even in the same league! |

I used Cellex-C products a few years ago when it was all the rage but it did nothing for me. |

Woa! Katee, Katee, Katee.... You're starting to sound like an ISC sales person there Could you elaborate on the MD Skincare products you've tried and how they compared? I was actually looking forward to trying out some of the MDS AHA stuff, I've read some good reports of it before. |

I wouldn't buy an entire skin care line until I had sampled everything first. If the ISC line doesn't work for you, try to pin down which product specifically isn't helping (and unfortunately it takes time for everything to work synergically). I have been using ISC for about 8-10 months now as well as a couple Skinceuticals products. For moisturizing I use cellcosmet. My point to mentioning what I use is I am not using just one line on my face/neck. I haven’t tried MD so I can’t help you separate the two, sorry. |

I haven't used the ISC line but have tried two of the MD Skincare products you mention.
The MD Anti-aging Vitamin C gel - Can't say I'm a big fan of this. I've had better results from other C serums like Skinceuticals.
The MD Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel - Now this I LOVE! Really has a nice *brightening* and firming effect, more or less instantly. If you haven't been using any acid type products, you'll definitely notice a result. I gave this product to a friend who is a bit younger, with different skin type to me, and she's hooked on it as well. I imagine this would work on almost any kind of skin. Only downside I can see is that the price is maybe a little high, bearing in mind it only lasts a month. |

Ack! Didn't see this till just now. Baaaaad Katie Mabsy's right - I AM starting to sound like an ISC zealot.
I was just very disappointed with the MD Formulations line, although it is possible that some of the products have been reformulated. It was back in 2003 when I tried them. I used the stuff for about 2-3 months and I just found them to be largely ineffective. It was the Vit-A-Plus stuff I was using. Later on, I tried the Peel pads - again, not much of an effect.
When I asked my dermatologist about the line, she told me that their professional line was pretty good, but that their home use stuff had too low a concentration of actives to produce significant results. She DID say that it wasn't a bad product for people with sensitive skin who couldn't tolerate higher concentrations.
I'm gonna keep silent on anything having to do with IS Clinical products from now on though. I do love the stuff - that's obvious. But, I'm not an ISC sales rep and would hate to be mistaken for one. Somebody else can answer questions about the line from now on. |

No Katee
Your the reason, and Annie, that I am trying this stuff finally, and I like the comfort I get from knowing if I have any questions or are unsure about anything I can ask one of you. "The experts" |

um, Katee... MD Skincare is a different line to MD Forumlations.
Like you, I also tried MD Formulations (the entire sensitive line in the travel kit) and hated it all. Tossed most in the bin and wasted my $50.
I have never tried MD Skincare though. |

Yes, MD Skincare is indeed unrelated and some of their stuff looks good. Having said that, while some MD Formulations products I have tried have been average, I swear by MDF Clearing Complex for breakouts and I have to say that the Night Recovery is really agreeing with my skin (which the Active Serum refused to do for me ).
I'm glad that Katee was actually talking about the wrong skincare line in the initial post - I was pretty sure that she has not tried MD Skincare before (I haven't heard her mention it and it is pretty new) and hence was rather surprised to see her dismiss it that quickly without trying it (thought she'd ascended to the next level of ISC faithfulness ). Even though I know she is an ISC fan, that was still a bit odd! |
