Has anyone had this done? I'm thinking about doing it on a little spot on my navel area. I have a patch of hair there and I absolutely HATE it!
How many treatments, does it hurt? What's the cost I should be looking to pay?
Any input would be great, thanks! |

I haven't had laser done, but have had IPL. I've been told that this is less painful and more effective than the laser. I'd suggest that you look into this instead maybe? A small patch should not cost much prices in Australia start from about Au$45.
ps. It hurts on some areas and not on others - depends on your skin colour, hair colour, hair thickness and density. |

IPL huh, I may check into this, I did a quick read and they say small areas cost about $130/session and would need about 6-8 sessions and then follow up like once a year or so after that. The price seems a bit excessive to me though. |

My coworker had laser done to remove hair from her upper lip, both legs and underarms. She says that it doesn't hurt that much (but not sure how much pain tolerance she has) but I had laser done to remove a tattoo. I had an injection to make the area numb. Funny thing, the injection hurt much more than the laser itself. I went off topic. But she's been doing this about 3x and she said the cost wasn't too high. I'll have to ask her again. She had said that after her 2nd treatment, her hair became fine. But I think it depends if your hair is fine or thick to begin with. It looks really good and I want to do it too. |

I just had a patch test done on my underarms - the pain factor - i would say is like an elastic being pulled and released onto your skin.
I had a patch test done about 10 years ago when lasers first came out. It leaft a scar on my arm. The consultant did not tell me then that lasers were not suitable for asian skin.
Now lasers have come a long way - it took me along time to decide wether or not i wanted to go through with it again.
There's a laser called Coolglide - which is suitable for asian and dark skins - and they have a lightsheer laser for white skins... they give you all the information on their site about lasers.
The lady who did the laser patch test on my skin told me to wait 72 hours incase of a reaction - therefore if by Monday i do not have a reaction then i will get my underarms done before my face. ![Laughing](images/smiles/lol.gif) |

And also considering that i got something done called 'epilpro' for 2 years for 15 pounds(my pound sign does not work) for 10 minutes for 2 years every week - i would say that laser (if it works) (touch wood) - it is much cheaper.
My under arms would cost 35 pounds and would be done every 4-6 weeks for maybe 3-10 treatments.
