I have recently been using a brand of skincare that I had not heard of before here in Australia, that has been taken up by our TV shopping channel but is also available from their own website. www.astrali.com.au I did a search and couldnt find anything so here goes!!
It's called Astrali and it is a natural based skincare range from France. Each product contains a minimum of 10% actives from plant and marine sources that supposedly take 3 mths to make ( Biofermentation process... yeah I thought of La Mer too, which I like) and are all suitable for sensitive skins. They are full of vitamins, minerals... trace elements, amino acids etc, great for anti aging but also eczema, scars, acne etc virtually all skin conditions using various products.
The products I have tried are ( all corny astronomy names!)
Alpha - the cleansing milk.... gorgeous, effective, gentle, smells divine, 250 navy blue plastic bottle.
Beta - 250 mlToner..no alcohol, plant extracts such as chamomile, linden etc also smells great and is very gentle.
Orion - Day cream... soft, light and non greasy SPF5 ( low I know but better than nothing!) 50ml jar with spatula.
Saturne - The "original" product which is a very thick, soothing and calming night cream ( originally for burns etc very healing)
50 ml jar with spatula.
Vega - Firming Cream which you use around neck, jowls (lol) anywhere you want a firming benefit, goes under the day or night cream where needed. 50 ml jar with spatula.
Creme Douceur which is the eye and lip cream....loveeee this one. Really gentle around the eyes...no stinging... definitely softened crowsfeet in record time.
Astrapeel which is their scrub...very gentle ...315 micron polybeads in a very nutritive base, again 50 ml, a once a week thing
Sirius - Mask... clay based plant extract mask that is also used once a week alone... or mixed with equal quantities of Saturne (at night) and left on to treat combination skin overnight. ( different concept!)
I was wary of Saturne at first, it is really thick and moist and I thought.. uh oh.... this one will break me out. It hasnt. On the contrary ... the texture is just fine as it is only at night ( Im oily combo skinned) and it does all sink in.
I have been SO pleased with the results!! I glow and am smooth and NO breakouts. None. Honestly.... its probably the most excited I have been about a range for years!
I usually use things like Dermalogica.... my old faithful, Liz Earle... Elizabeth Grant... La Mer, Trilogy, Kosmea....but this range has made more of a difference in a short time than any of those.
Worth a look ..not the world's cheapest but truly a pleasure to recommend, the company ( well, here in Australia anyway) itself too have the best customer service! ( I am in NO way involved with the company I promise....just found something I really like!) |

Wow.... I am the only person who has used these?
I was just told actually that they are more the "home" version of Gernetic products used in salons (many the same, different packaging/names) and wanted to read about them and maybe buy more when I saw EDS has Gernetics but it says "Spa only" and there are no products listed at all. Pity...I don't know the actual names of the substitute products to enquire about. Oh well... |

yes, yes, I have heard of them.. I forget where I saw about the line, but I remember looking at the company website. And I also remember reading about them being the same company as Gernetic, but again I forget where. Astrali is one brand whose link often appears in the ads on the EDS forum pages too from memory.
There is another French "salon only" brand (of course whose name has escaped me).. but when i was trying to obtain it, I found they also did a "home line" (but unfortunately the soothing mask I was desperate for was not a part of it).
I thought both lines sounded very lovely and interesting, but I was afraid to look at them harder in case I found something I "needed" The place I read about them waswww.astrali.com
How do the ingredients look? Any little "extras" that would be unwanted? |

Ah well.... I am still finding them to be the most effective I have used so far out of the literally hundreds of ranges I have used over the years...so I'm more than happy both to use them myself and recommend them!
So many will only list their "actives" and withhold the rest, which is annoying I know, least they were upfront. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

I agree - it is useless looking at lists of active ingredients... |
