I sometimes wonder if Liz Jones is an exaggerated or drama queen type.
For all her career successes, she suffered from anorexia in her younger years, is incredibly neurotic, insecure yet snobbish about others (she's a fashion writer, as well as posting whiny articles about her latest crisis), and had a sham marriage to a man who slept around, her therapy sessions, are all faithfully reported in the Daily Mail.
She has deep-set emotional issues and I'm amazed this tabloid indulges her insecurities (which is what the Mail is..it's just a step up from Heat magazine, every day there's a round of stories about who is fat/thin/has cellulite).
There's something about her that makes me uncomfortable. I don't understand why some people lay bare their lives so much..what do they get out of it?
I am sympathetic to people who have suffered trauma and anxiety, but Liz seems to irriate people rather than gain sympathy from her efforts.
However, I will say, she looks amazing (think she had PRP treatment too, by the sound of it).
An example: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1268750/LIZ-JONES-Now-I-know-I-hate---Intense-therapy-discovered-dark-secret-past.html There are lots of articles of this ilk (eureka! I found a therapist who understands me).

I am not familiar with her writing, but find it great to see someone who admits to what she has done and backs it up with details and photos.

Important to note she also had a lower eye blepharoplasty, "buckets of filler" in her N/L folds, Botox in the forehead and around the eyes (crows feet area), IPL for age spots and broken caps (2 treatments), and a "top-up" around her mouth. So this was much more than a mid or lower facelift. As noted in the comments that follow the article, her eyebrows in her after photo look strange (Spock-like)? but that appears to be due to makeup application. Personally I think all she needed was the under eye bleph and fillers, but if she is happy then that's all that matters! |

Her life is like a car crash -- you can't help but stare as you drive by. She is supposedly dating a classic rock type of guy but I don't know who or which band he is/was in. I'm sure we'll be reading in a few short months about how they broke up and how badly she was treated.
Those brows are tattooed on by the way. Otherwise I think she looks great. I'm sure the Daily Mail picked up the tab. |

What a interesting article! Inparticular the post regarding her personal history. It certainly adds another demision to her story. I do however think she does look a lot better after all the work, in the end if it makes her feel more positive about herself, then she has made the right decision. |

I know exactly what you mean. Her writing makes me feel uncomfortable at times. Definitely neurotic, hypocritical and scathing towards others. |

I had a friend of mine read the article since she was the only person I knew who had a facelift. She said, "Maybe I have amnesia but I don't remember pain and problems going on for weeks. The first week wasn't fun but after that I was fine. This woman sounds like a drama queen." Bingo! |

I admire her willingness to share her story and photos, that takes guts. I don't know her but do feel she has 'some issues' and wonder will she really be happy with her results.
that aside I think she looks great after. Most 'facelift stories' I have seen or read about have realistic enough. I don't know if she went into it thinking it would be a walk in the park and discovered it wasn't? But her diary did sound abit off putting. Most people seem to be uncomfortable for about a week, but hers sound quite dreadful!!
Her surgeon seems outstanding. |

Wow she actually showed some pictures. Very interesting read indeed! She looks great, but maybe a little plastic. Women at that age should have "some" lines at least imo |

Let's not forget that those photos were taken only two months after surgery. It takes six months to a year for the face to "settle down." Then she will look more natural unless she panics and starts injecting more filler and botox and ruins her results. |

I agree with you, there seems to be more going on behind the scenes and not necessarily positive. She seems to be a bit unstable but she looks great, and this artical is very informative. |
