Hello Friends!
Has anyone ever heard of REJUVINOL Anti-Wrinkle cream?? I see it's No 1 on the Consumers Digest list for Anti-Wrinkle creams, JB Alpha Derma CE 2nd and Fusion Beauty's Liftfusion 3rd. I'm totally confused now on what to purchase? Any advice? Liftfusion? JB Alpha Derma CE? or Rejuvinol? Crying or Very sad

I actually bought the rejuvinol system and used it for well over a month. I really didn't see any results from it. I felt it was a good moisturizer but that is about it. I also found it non-irritating. I originally bought it after reading the exact article that you cite, however, now I am questioning the validity of that article. It seems not to have much scientific basis and I was not able to confirm that the article originated from Consumer Health. Perhaps I am wrong but I am just very skeptical. I think a forum like EDS is a much better place to get reviews because the reviews here are written by everyday people (as opposed to companies and businesses with a financial interest) who either have had or have not had success with a product.

I agree with Rhensel - I'd go by user reviews instead of lists. Anyone can publish a list and generally the product they make comes out on top Smile They can also make the list look like it was compiled by someone else. I saw one recently that was like that but I can't remember anymore what product it was sponsored by. I just did a quick search and found another list of "best anti-wrinkle products" where something called Athena is number one.... Take is with a grain of salt and search for genuine (and multiple) user feedback.

Thanks for your comments Rhensel and Mabsy, I do appreciate it! I think I'll give the list a miss then...and search for reviews on Liftfusion and Alpha Derma CE rather! Wink

I'm a newbie to this site and forum and I must say I'm impressed with the info and nice people. In regards to the product Rejuvinol, it was the worst experience I'd ever had. First it applies so tacky you cannot even smooth foundation over it. It also was very drying. I stuck it out for 5 weeks (the company recommends 30 days) and there was no difference in fine lines whatsoever. $100 and NOTHING. Nada. Then to make matters worse, they charge a 25% restocking fee plus your shipping costs and ONLY on UNUSED product. Unused product?? Of course the product was used! Or how could anyone tell if it works?! Whoever I talked to at the company needs some lessons in manners too. Very rude.

The most I've ever spent on an anti-aging or face cream product was around $40. So needless to say I was not happy. Mad Like others, I'd been sold on all those websites and the Consumer Health Digest article too. I then wrote to CHD and asked "What did you base your rating on and who wrote this article?" I never got a response, but suddenly there was a disclaimer put on the bottom of the article that the rating was based on EXPECTED efficacy. In other words, they had no first hand-knowledge regarding if the product works or not. So much for validity.

I don't think customer reviews are much better than website "rankings" either. Take a look at the "customer reviews" for Rejuvinol on Amazon. The company is writing their own detailed, long "customer reviews", they repost them up to 10 times, they've copied negative reviews and reposted them as positive reviews. All done to inflate their 4 star rating on the site. It's unbelievable. Customers are complaining, but Amazon doesn't seem very responsive.

To sum it up, you can't count on website rankings nor customer reviews. Hard lesson learned. Word of mouth and peer-reviewed journal articles (regarding ingredients) are the best source of information. As for me, it's back to the $40 and under products again. I'm trying out Oil of Olay Definity right now and I'll report back on how well it works.

I apologize for the length, but I really needed to let off steam. Thx

Welcome Janelle! Luckily you've found EDS now so you will get some great unbiased advice and hear of many other's own experiences with products. I know how easily it is to get suckered into marketing schemes like this, as I have been a few times myself! Embarassed

I find that the product reviews not only here, but on makeupalley seem to be mostly unbiased, so check out that site if you haven't as well. I only use it for mass summarized reviews on products, since sometimes reviews here are quite as comprehensive and can often get off topic. We like to gab a bit! Laughing Anyway, welcome again!

Hi and thanks for the nice welcome, TAMgirl. Yes, I'm really happy to have found EDS. It's so hard to find good, unbiased opinions in the internet world. I've never heard of makeupalley, but I'll be sure to check it out. SmartSkinCare seems pretty good too. They have done research on many of the ingredients in some of these products. Paula Begoun has also, but since she now sells her own line, it could be construed as a biased source. (Can you tell I'm a "show me the facts" type?) Wink Women on here get gabby and off topic? Noooo.. say it isn't so. Shock (I'll fit right in)
