Hi Dana
I have been using mandelic acid for 2 weeks have had a good lightening effect. i have some acne scars and dark pigmented areas.
Also wildberry and kojic acid are powerful lighteners without the negative effects of hydroquinone.
to look at mandelic acid by vivant- go to

Acne scars will go away eventually, say about 1/2 year if you can wait. If not, a drop of lemon juice does have whitening effect as well. As for a whitening masks, a new one came out not long ago - sisley whitening masks. It's the best whitening mask I've ever used. Non drying, brightening, and evens out skin tone. Worth a try. |

If your looking for something that lighten scars, i would suggest ole henriksen's Sheer tranformation creme. Ive been down to my 4th jar and nothing is still quite like it in terms of texture and absorption. It has really lighten my skin tone for me.
If your looking for purely whitening products, Japanese brands are a good choice. |

I'd say only use Hydroquinone as a last resort. If you do a search a number of people have had bad experiences with this switching off their melatonin production entirely and creating white patches and/or getting a darker kick back effect from the sun when they stop using it. |

Pearl powder really helps! I use a skin care line that contains pearl powder in its moisturiser.
My skin looks lighter in few months.
If you have trouble in finding such product, you could buy pure pearl powder which is much famous in Taiwan. As you can see, Taiwan ladies have very fair skin.... |
