Hi Ladies
I just started using a moisurizer with vitamin c added.. My skin feels somewhat tight, and dry and a little red. Should I give this product more time? Does anyone have any experience with vit c products? It is made by Bioelements..
Thanks!!

It could be the C but perhaps is another ingredient in the formula. I only say this because C (to be effective) is usually at a 3.0-3.5pH and creams are generally at neutral pH's (which render the C in them rather ineffective.) Is there retinol in the formula or a high AHA concentration? These might cause redness also.

If you are looking for a good C, serums are the best way to get good results. Vivier, PSF, Cellular Skin Rx, Skinceuticals, JB all make good C serums.

Hi Rie!

I have a dry skin type and cannot use Vitamin C on my face at all as it causes dryness, blackheads and redness.

Since I cannot use vitamin C topically, I use it internally and I also use the Ice Elements blueberry mask as an antioxidant.

There other other more stable and effective ways to apply antioxidants to the skin, so if you cannot use it just try something else... Wink

I know that a lot of people on this board like the Juice Beauty items and they have an antioxidant serum that may be good (have only heard of it) so if a blueberry mask does not sound like your thing, perhaps that would be something to consider?

Take care.
Bosoxy.

I'm currently using Cellex-C High Potency Serum and I have no problems with it. I use it in the morning with Aloette Cellular Day Defense.
