Has anyone used the pressed Dr. Hauschka Translucent Face Powder Compact, it seems quite similar to the Jurlique Silk Dusts.
Would love any feedback Very Happy

I haven't tried it yet...but their loose powder is quite nice and smells of cinnamon. Very Happy

hmm, i've got the loose powder and the bronzer in a compact. both are lovely and smell so nice on my skin. Plus the powder gets rid of the oilies wonderfully. I imagine that the pressed powder is nearly the same as the loose?

I've just been reading up about this on the Dr Hauschka site. It might be just what I was looking for, as it gives a translucent effect.

I'm still torn between this and the Jurlique, but think this may well be more suitable.

Kiwigirl - Do you have any fine lines or dry skin areas? Also, does the powder help to slightly even out skin tone? (I'm not looking for a heavy effect, just a very natural one.)

Hi majorb,
sorry but fine lines aren't really one of my concerns but I do have dry cheeks at times. I use the loose powder through the centre of my face to combat the oilies and to set my foundation (when I wear it). It is definitely not a heavy powder (although beware I have fairly limited experience of facial powders). In terms of evening out skin tone, again, that's not really one of my problems, but my skin does look good wearing it. I can't really see it when I put it on but it does make my skin look more matt, plus it smells lovely!

HTH

Rub it in, why dontcha! LOL! Wink Laughing

I'm really glad you've found it to give a "barely there" look. That's exactly what I want. I don't really need a cover-up, just an ever so slight enhancement - but the mattifying aspect is the main thing I'm needing.

Thanks for your help, too.

sorry about that, but there's go to be some benefits to having oily skin! my mother looks amazing at 60 and she doesn't even use a comprehensive routine (as much as I'm trying to get her into one!) so I think I've got good genetics to start with. Plus my dad looks pretty good for his age too, and that's in spite of have emergency triple bypass surgery last year.

I also used to have oily skin, but arthritis and medication have made it really dry - and then there's that horrible getting older thing, too.

My stepmum looks fabulous and is in her very late 50s with hardly any lines. Just like your mum, she has oily/combo skin.

And to think, I used to curse mine when I was younger! Shock
