Hello All
I just went to a new derm yesterday and he prescribed Tazorac (which I have never used before) for evening application and Benzaclin for morning use. I have been on Benzaclin before and it helped some what, but has anyone used Tazorac? I was told to apply a very small amount in the evening for help with opening my pores and the Benzaclin is to kill the bacteria in the pores. He also recomended cetaphil cleanser and stay away from other acne brand cleaners, to drying he said. I am looking for others that have used these RX's to help me understand what I will experience.
Thanks |

I've used both of these. I have used retin-a forever and just recently switched to tazorac. I have been using it for about two months now. I had a little redness for about two days and that was it. I originally started with the cream, but it was too heavy for my oily skin and I have switched to the gel, which I like much better. I expect that my derm will switch me to the .1% on my next visit. |

I use Tazorac for adult acne and it has been great for me. As long as I apply it no AA if I stop for 2 week though it comes back. I haven't had irritation I use the 0.1% cream |
