He has been using Biomedic purfying Cleanser but the spa no longer carries that line so they suggested either Pervonia Gel for oily skin or MD Forte #1 cleanser. He has some acne but nothig bad. He uses Skincutles (?) Toner for oily skin of course they were out of the companion cleanser. Needs but Sunday. Thanks for the advice |

I buy my son IS Clinical. It washes off really clean and helps with blackheads. |

I bought Serious Skincare Glycolic Cleanser for my niece. It cleared up her few bumps and it's easy (she's a bit of a tomboy). Just sent her 2nd bottle. |

Out of the two recommended ones I think I would go with MD Forte, although potentially this is more drying than the Pevonia cleanser. Still, it has glycolic acid in it which will help prevent acne forming. I'm also thinking of it from a point of view of a young guy going away to college - I think he might prefer something more manly looking than Pevonia MD Forte, MD Formulations and Dermalogica have packaging that more men would seem to be ok with because they're just simple with not much colour. I know it sounds silly but if he's going away to college and gets teased about what he uses then soon he'll stop using it. |

Hang on, is it the Pevonia Phyto-gel cleanser you're talking about? I just looked it up on MUA and it seems to get excellent reviews, with comments that it has a masculine scent that men tend to be drawn to. There was also a comment in there about it being good for semi acne-prone people, so this may indeed also be a good choice and one that is less drying/harsh than the AHA cleansers. |

I think thats the one - and I agree the packging on the Pervonia looked a little girl like-I just hope the MD Forte 1 is not to harsh. I actually think its the Pervonia gel cleanser from the line that begins with a "L". I just might order the Biomedic online and send it to him. He still have about 1/4 bottle left. My only child leaving on Sunday. Thanks for the help |

One of the first cleansers I used when I decided to start taking care of my skin was MD Forte Cleanser II. My skin was combo--dry cheeks, enlarged pores in T-zone, and at that time I was battling some acne (think it was hormonal) on my jawline that was getting pretty bad. This cleanser was great!! It helped clear up my acne and oily areas without drying out the rest of my skin. I went through 3 bottles before switching (just wanted to try something different and I highly recommend it |

I love that cleanser. It was my favourite cleanser until I discovered the Serious Skin Care Daily Ritual Cleanser. |
