I think it's difficult to comment on these lines overall. If you do a search (upper right hand corner) then you will find many reviews of Cellex-C and Skinceuticals items on this forum which should give you a pretty good idea about some of their products. I think there are a couple of reviews here of phAdvantage and maybe SkinMedica as well but I don't recall any of June Jacobs or Glytone. |

I know some Dermotologists use Glytone cleansers. I've read this in Allure fashion magazine. |

I'm currently using the Cellex-C High Potency Serum and I love it. It has firmed up my skin and improved my skin clarity. |

Cellex-C makes great c serums because they include Zinc and something else to make it far more effective then just L-Absorbic acid, PG and water. |

Thanks. I was told that Cellex-C is more potent so it is more irritating than Skinceuticals. |

I used Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective gel for about 2 years and really liked what it did for me... calming, hydrating, lightened pigmentation from acne scars. I stopped using it recently to see how my face does with out it.
I also used Cellex-C's Hydra 5 B Complex gel. I really think it helped heal my skin. I tried a few months back when I had a really bad break out spell and it helped with this. I am out of it and would like to repurchase something similar (it's a bit expensive). I think hyaluronic acid in general is good for the skin. I think it really helped my skin.
I tried a large sample of SkinMedica's rejuvinating cream and really liked it as well. Helped to hydrate my skin. I actually liked the medicine-y smell it had but some people don't. I almost purchased a jar but I prefer using products that are out of a pump etc for sanitary reasons.
I am trying a sample of SkinMedica's vit C complex just around my eyes (I have a lot of fine lines from sun exposure from all my days playing sports). It seems to really be lessening the appearance of them.
Generally, these brands that I have talked about are good- quality brands.
I am still exploring skin products but haven't been able to run out and try everything I have wanted to b/c my wallet has been very strict. Some day... (For instance I am interested in products with idebenone.... I am considering buying the idebenone itself off of personalformulator.com along with other ingredients to make up my own "stuff".... I've actually been interested in doing that for some time but have been "making do" with what I have until I get a "real" job and can afford it).
Anyway, that's my take on them... |
