Anyone ever used one? I used to have one as a teen; it never worked. I gave it to a friend. Now, I have a new one. Haven't tried it yet ....

I've used Ouija many times. In fact I used to make my own board with just some papers, scissors and markers when I was a teen. But I've had a lot of creepy experiences with it and so have many people I know, that I've decided to stay away and not mess with the universe anymore. (Things like the centre piece dancing and moving on its own with no one around or radios and tvs coming on and off even when they were unplugged, or extreme changes in room temperature etc etc) I must admit it is tempting to try it again and see what happens (it's a great adrenaline rush) but I definitely would never do it alone (again) and I would definitely not be naive about it. Let's just say if used the way it should be, Ouija is not a game and not something to be "played" unless you know what you are getting yourself into. And I don't mean to scare others away from it. For most people nothing at all happens and it could be good fun, but it's the times that the things that happen scare the s**t out of you that are enough to keep me away.

I've never tried one and I never will. Those things totally scare me because I really believe they can sometimes tap into something not good and once you let that into your life, what if you can't get rid of it. Maybe I've watched too many horror movies, but I would never have one in the house. And the thing is ... if you contact something from the "other side" ... what's to say it's what it says it is, you know? I would never trust anything that comes out of it because I think it's never anything honest and just something to trick you into believing it's lies. Now, I do have to say again that I've never used one myself or even had anyone I know use one (not that I know) ... this is all just my personal opinion so I have nothing to back up why I don't trust them except what I feel inside about these things. This is just something I feel strongly about. Very Happy

I agree with everything posted before me.. It's not a toy, and NOT a good thing to mess with.. I too, had some very scary experiences with it at a couple slumber parties I went to.. I won't go into details, but sufffice it to say, it scared the you know what out of us, and it still scares me to this day.. I refuse to ever have one in my house or be around one..

I know a lot of people believe that you are the one 'moving' the piece, and that may be true in many cases.. My experience however was NOT!

Just thinking about it now is really creeping me out...

If you do anything with it, PLEASE be careful!

If you're at all into the supernatural and know how to deal with spirits then there's nothing about Ouija to be alarmed about. However most people think it's a game and lots of fun - it's not, and like everyone else has said they can be dangerous.
I used to be really into all that stuff years ago, but it got kinda boring Very Happy

I think the power has much to do with people than anything "otherworldly". Regardless of what makes funky shite happen after using one a them things, I won't be going near one anytime soon.

Don't mess with spirits. Really. It's more than just fun and games. My sister played with one & hasn't been right since.

They sell them in the toy department in Wal-Mart. It's a game. I had a few run-ins with one when I was younger. Mostly my friends just moved it around to say what they wanted it to say then they vehemently denied having moved it. I think you can psych yourself out, and that's the whole point, the whole fun of the game. You can make yourself believe/ feel darn near anything. I once made myself feel dizzy reading my own fortune with tarot cards.

Well, I believe there are other planes to this existence and so do not mess w/Oujias and never will.

They scare the crap out of me and though my digestion isn't the greatest, I am not willing to get help through this medium. Laughing Bad Grin

I've done it a few times when I was younger with a few friends, nothing really happened and think some of them were moving it. Now would I do it again? Heck no! I believe in the supernatural and spirits and that's not something I'd want to mess with.

Anyone remember Bloody Mary? I had a terrible experience with that in the bathroom in the dark when I was younger, something of this nature I don't want a reocurrence on.

Casper thank you for getting back to me

Regarding the Bloody Mary story. I was visiting my cousin during our summer vacation, I was probably maybe 14 or so. I fell alseep or was napping during the day and guess she was in the living room while I was in her room. I woke up and I don't know what possessed me to do it but as I lied there on her bed I said Blood Mary with my eyes closed 3 times. She had a huge mirror on top of her dresser. I opened my eyes and there was a white heavy outline of a face in the mirror. Now I SWEAR I wasn't imagining things. I cover my eyes quickly and was literally frozen on the bed. I let several seconds pass and uncover my eyes and check again and sure enough it was still there. I probably lied in bed still with my eyes covered for about 5 min before I had the courage to run out of the room. I told my cousin and we went back the face wasn't there any longer.

Okay retelling this story just gave me goosebumps. Laughing

My faith warns against them. I believe they tap into something very negative. I'd highly advise not opening that door.

Hmm Think Interesting. Then again, the mind can do crazy things, especially when it's tired. You were just dozing off, and very likely, it was one of those weird, light dreams one can have during that state.

See that's the thing, I wasn't dozing off, I awoke from a long nap. I was awake. See no one believes me Laughing b/f always says I'm crazy.

Well, if you walk around in the dark, chances are, you're going to see something ghoulish. You don't need to be tired or anything...you just see what you think you want to see. It's just the make up of the human brain and it happens all the time.

i have used it only once in college, i was actually the one moving the piece around trying to fool everyone. then really strange things started to happen to me. i used to be a total nonbeliever of any spiritual world, but not after playing with the board. i would definitely not play with it again.
