I know you can't use Vitamin C and CP together, because they cancel each other out, but can you use JB Blemish serum? It is made with fruit extracts, which I think would have Vitamin C in them. |

As I understand, second generation of CP can be used with acids. But maybe Molly can give you better answer. ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

Like jumpingball says if they're second generation (Skinbio, Dianayvonne or Platinumskincare) then you're fine to use them with this AHA serum. Just use the serum first, wait half an hour if possible then apply the CPs.
If they're first generation CPs such as Neova or Neutrogena then they don't work well with acids (AHAs).
I looked at the ingredients for your serum it does have a C-ester (magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (vitamin C)), but it's quite far down the ingredients list so probably not a high percentage. If you don't mind cancelling it out then go ahead.

I had always heard that you could use vitamin c ester with both the first and second generation copper tripeptides, and it was the ascorbic acid and l-ascorbic acid that couldn't be used with the first generation ones |

Thanks guys. I didn't even see the magnesium ascorbyl phosphate when I looked at the label. Next time I'll have my coffee before I read labels. |

Hi Debbietante
Where did you hear that if you don't mind me asking? I'm not saying you're not right, but everything I've read says no to C-esters too. Theskincareboard, smartskincare, Skinbio forum, everywhere.
TIA Molly ![Cool](images/smiles/cool.gif) |

Molly,
I was wondering that myself.
You can use cp's with vitamin C, but the copper peptides will cancel out the vitamin C and make it useless. |
