I use to smoke. I assume this is what is called "smokers lines". Is there a product that helps with these or a procedure maybe that will? This is really my age give away and I would love to do something about it. I am 48. Thanks |

Thanks! |

I've been using Estee Lauder Perfectionist Correcting Concentrate for Lip Lines. Works great!! (shamefully admitting she still IS a smoker) |

Going so well 3 days into using it I got online to purchase more. Will not be without this. The 1st time I put it on it "filled" the lines (it also has a diffuser in it to further the cause, lol). The effect is cumulative, by the end of the 1st week, the smaller lines on my top lip were barely visible to me. The ones on the bottom gone completely. The deeper lines on my top lip have decreased greatly. The insert from the package states to give the product 30 days - but I didn't need that long! Even on days I forget to apply it my lips are alot better than ever.
Definitely recommend it. Actually read about it here (I know - big surprise, lol) and couldn't be happier about it. I get mine from Ebay, bit pricey from a retailer. HTH |

Almost 20 years here too, on and off (between pregnancies). I purchased alot of the Revive line, really didn't do anything for me. Feels nice going on, but does nothing to help my dry skin. So - it's now in the back of my goodie drawer til summer, then will try it again. Otherwise, will be re-selling alot of samples I never touched, lol. |

how long did it take? have you been using the serum as well???
i've just started with avene diacneal (retin a-ish) and have been using the core revive products including the lip renewal cream for awhile. my lines are actually worse now than ever, but i think it's just the retin a drying me out -- and the h.a. pills pushing my lips out.... worse before it gets better?
do tell!
and thank you in advance |

The instructions say to use this on the skin around your lips and not on your lips, but I'm confused from your statements. Are you actually using this on your lips, or the skin around them? This product sounds great! |

Ok Candy,
I just ordered it, it sounds great, I am using alot of revive products and think they are great, now I am not using retin A under them, and the moisture content is amazing. Now the renewal lip stuff I am not impressed with, but as with most lip products this is a renewal and should take some time, so since I do have plenty of samples I will continue but can't wait to add this. I will say I am slowly (well 3 weeks isnt that slow) seeing some pretty fab improvement on lip lines from the volumnize serum, but I want them gone not improved !!! Anyhoo Tam not meaning to answer for Candy but I do believe she is revering to lip lines above and below lips not lines on lips themselves. Also I do believe Caretake or someone raved about skinceuticals lips cream, so thats next if this is a bust. |

My fault - I should have been more specific, I do apply around, not on. |

Many of the eye creams I have used have said that they were for lips & eyes. I think that the PSF StimuColl-C Intensive Eye Serum is awesome & I have wondered if it could be effective on the area around one's mouth as well? In the meantime, I've been using tazorac for lip lines (as well as having some restylane). The lines are plumped from the resty & where the wrinkles were is fading a bit...BUT, I'm going to try the StimuColl-C there as an experiment - & on my vertical forehead lines, too - it has taken years off of my eyelids (crepies) |

I am new here and I am so glad I found this post! 20 year smoker here too and my vertical lines are what bother me most about my skin. I started Obagi in January for this very reason! I am even thinking Restylane injections but that is so expensive and I just can't make up my mind about it. I got this tip from a woman on another forum and I am not sure if it works. She mixed Retin A with Neova copper peptides and applies that around her lips every night. She said in 2 weeks I would notice a difference. I am going to try this and see. |

Sad to say the Obagi is not helping but I am just starting week 6, and I hear wrinkles can take up to 1 year! Neova is the copper peptide product that woman told me about. I ordered the product on line. I will keep you posted if this works or not. I also am going to get the Estee Lauder product talked about above, and try that! |

Now I'm going to HAVE to buy it. Can you tell me if you have any lines that are actually running from your lip to the outside skin, or are all of your lines above the lip line? I ask because I have a few that are actually on the lip line, and I wasn't sure how the product works on those. Thanks! |

Tam,
well most start from the lips then go out(they dont cut thru my lips), I think I am describing that right..anyhow, this product states NOT to use ON the lips but only around. And I cannot state the amazing results (at least for me) that I am seeing, I personally could care less if lips have a few lines but I am insane over lines above/below lips. I have also tried a ton of stuff and I have never seen these results. I'd pay the 38 retail in a heartbeat only because it works. I just pray I don't see the bomerrange effect of 3 weeks into it, back to normal. It does say to give it 30 days, if this stuff gets better in 30 days, I am one happy woman!! I hope that helps.

Thanks MM! I do unfortunately have a few that cut pretty deep into my lip area, so those are the ones I want to correct the most since my gloss just bleeds right out.
I'll keep you posted on my results too. I hope I can find a good ebay deal tonight! |

MM- I just received this from an e-bay store. Can you tell me what the directions are (like how many times do you run this around your lips). I bought a brand new one, but she did not send the box or insert with instructions. I can't wait to try this. Maybe I won't need Restylane injections! |

I just bought one too off of ebay without the box. Thanks for asking this rileygirl! |

Your welcome Tamgirl99. I am copying this from the EL website, but home MM comes back with a litle more detail for us.
This is what the website says:
HOW TO USE PERFECTIONIST FOR LIP LINES
Twist top end of pen clockwise to release the Concentrate into the applicator. Apply AM and PM around--not on--lips.
NOTE: Before initial use, the top end of the pen should be primed with approximately 20 clockwise twists to ensure perfect saturation of the contoured applicator.
Good luck. I will be starting mine on Saturday! |
