Hi
I wonder if anyone can advise me on a good basic skincare regime:
My problem is that my skin is basically quite oily, and I never used to have a problem with dryness, however now that I am (regrettably) in my mid-thirties, my cheeks get quite dry and red while the rest of my face continues to exude oil .
My skin has also become very sensitive over the years, and my face reddens at the drop of a hat, which I really hate!!!
Can anyone recommend a gentle cleanser/toner/moisturiser that won't leave my skin feeling too oily but will attend to my dry cheeks?? Should I perhaps be using an exfollient as well?

Hi Yulia,
You might want to look into skincare from natural ingredients. So stuff like YonKa, Decleor and Dr Hauschka. From reading people's comments I gather that they make very good products for sensitive skin (eg. Decleor Harmonie Essentielle which has been getting rave reviews from people with sensitive skin). I really like the YonKa Gel Nettoyant cleanser and have not found it to be drying (I've got combo skin as well). But your cleanser choice may depend on your preference (i.e. cream vs gel vs foaming).
My personal opinion on exfoliating is that it's beneficial to everyone - even to people with sensitive skin. You just have to make sure that you get a gentle one that is suitable for you. I would probably suggest Peter Thomas Roth Buffing Beads or Phytomer Gommage Marin. I really love Dermalogica Microfoliant (it's a non-abrasive enzyme powder) but I'm not sure if it is suitable for sensitive skins.
HTH
