Hi, I was told that one shouldn't use emu oil if one has dark under-eye circles as emu oil makes it worse. Is this true?
And if so, what are good oils to use under the eye area? avocado? rose? |

Hmm, Can't say I've heard/read anything about emu making dark circles worse - If it did I'm sure it would have been mentioned on the SkinCareBoards - I've not seen anything?
I can't honestly see how it could make them worse? If anything emu is reputed to increase skin thickness and plumpness which I would have thought would make dark circles less noticeable? But I'm no scientist, I'd be interested in other people's views.  |

| Hi Lucia, Thanks for answering. I did some more searching and found one post about emu oil enhancing melanin production. But I couldn't find much rationale either. How do people with dark circles, using emu fare???! |

| I've been using emu oil on and off for about 1 year. And use it daily for last 30 days, am and pm. My dark ciecles are the same, did not get worse or better. |

| Same for me. I've been using emu oil for a year as well and it hasn't had any effect on my dark circles. |
