Hi all!! This is my first posting but I've been reading this forum for some time and I am sooo glad I've found it. I've always been on a quest for great skincare products and now I have found so many things I've never heard about before that actually work so thank you to all of you.
Now, the reason for my post is that Im starting to use the IS clinical line. Right now, I'm using the active and hydracool at night but I also want to add in the super serum and poly vit soon too. I know that some products can cancel out the effects of these serums so I'm curious to know what skincare routines those using IS Clinical have now so I can get an idea of what products would be ok to use over the IS Clinical. I've heard the Ylang Ylang night balm is really good so I may add that in, I don't think that would cause any problems but I've heard about so many other great products I'd like to try, I just want to get an idea of what everyone else has had success with using this line. I've searched through all of the forums but there were only a few posts under the skincare routine topic by IS Clinical users.
Please let me know your IS Clinical routine-AM and PM....Thanks! |

I love the IS Clinical products I've been using so far. This is my routine right now (after cleansing). I would say I have combination skin, prone to blackheads in tzone.
AM
Super Serum
PSF Balancing Oil in Tzone
Dermalogica Sheer Moisture Tint SPF15 all over
PM
Active Serum (every second night)
JM Bioclear (alternate nights) w/ AG Photolagen layered over top
PSF Moisture Balancing Lotion all over
I do think I've seen a reduction in breakouts since starting this. I still have blackheads, no more no less than before. I use the Clarisonic brush with my cleanser at night as well which I think helps with the exfoliation. I think once I'm done the Bioclear, I may just use the Active Serum every night with the Photolagen over top. |

I use the active, then hydracool. Sometimes I follow the active with photolagen though. And, I just want to add, I looooooooooove this stuff. I have only used it for two weeks, but it helps with my oily skin, and my skin just looks, well, good. I can't really place my finger on one thing, but it just looks better overall. My husband even noticed, but said HE couldn't put his finger on it either. Whatever it is, I hope it continues. I am going to add the proheal into this mix, and hopefully that dosen't dissapoint.
Also, not ONE new breakout since using the active!! It has cleared up any I had. |

Excellent thread! Some people don't use all of ICS products. They mix it with other skincare lines.
ISC is on my next purchase list! |

I have the same question.
I thought ylang ylang is not a moisterizer but it disinfect any blocked pores. |

Yes, I put the blam on top. Or sometimes I will skip the Hydracool and just put it over the Active Serum. In winter I suspect that my skin will find this too drying. I only really use the balm when I have a break out though. |

Thank you, Lucinda!
But do you mind me asking how long is your "as long as possible"? Minutes? Hours? |

I would like to ask Lucinda or anyone else if they agree with this statement...
ylang ylang balm last longer on your skin compared to the oil?
This is what a Decleor staff told me today at the cosmetic department store. |

Sometimes I usually wait around 1 hr, but sometimes just 20 minutes. You don't need to wait for an hour. I believe that the serum works as soon as you apply it... |

I definitely agree with this. I think it's because the balm has wax in it... Where as the oil just sinks in. |

But I have acne problem or used to. If I get a waxy base, won't it clog my pores? |

Apparently not! I'm not sure how it works, but I have only ever heard of the ylang ylang balm clearning skin, not cloging it. |

except for me. It did clog my pores, but other than that, I like the way it made my face look. Does that make sense? |

How long did it take you to see that it was cloging your pores? Was it an over night thing, or longer? (if that makes sense...) |

Good question....sometimes it could be what your diet was at that time or your hormones that caused the acne. |

If you're worried that it clogs your pores you can use it as a massage treatment after a peel or a mask. Massage for 5 minutes, tone and continue with your regular PM regime. That has worked nicely for me because I don't always want to leave the balm overnight on my skin.
An SA actually recommends this process with the Essential balm but YY balm would probably be better left on overnight.
I have both balms and I find that what the SA told me was pretty much correct in the way that the balms have reacted on my skin as I have used them both ways. |

Not immediately overnight. It was my second, or third? morning of waking up when I noticed. |

I do. It is very smooth and sort of powdery. I would reorder for sure. |
