I have dark undereyes - moreso on some days than others. Does anyone know of a good concealor (i have never used one) that is not too dry or cakey or obvious but that goes on nicely and you don't have to tug and pull to remove. It is also preferable that it not melt off too much throughout the day.
Thanks girls! {or guys } |

I can't help with the rec for an eye cream. I have very dark circles myself and I haven't found anything yet that really works for me and I'm still searching!
However, concealers I know about! My favourites are Amazing Cosmetics Concealer ... A small amount goes a long way with this concealer and it really covers well. Revlon Colourstay Undereye Concealer is also really nice. Good coverage and stays put. And if you like mineral makeup, I recently found the Everyday Minerals Sunlight Colour Corrector works very well for dark undereye circles (use the mineral foundation over top). HTH |

sweetp,
cellular skin rx eye bright seems to work well for dark circles. it also addresses bags under the eyes, not sure if you have a problem with that or not. i wrote a review recently for the product:

Skincareaddicted - I'm following you - I was about to recommend this product too.
Lancome do a good concealer - however, I think it is better to try to fix the problem with skin rather than cosmetically. |

Guerlain Issima Precious Lights is a really nice concealer for under your eyes.
In regards to an eye cream to combat dark circles, i'm still searching for one too. I'm still using the Peter Thomas Roth one, but however much I try and convince myself, the fact is it's not helping to reduce my dark circles, but other people seem to have had some success with it. |

Hi again Emma ,
i totally agree with Emma on the trying to fix the problem with the skin around that area. if you focus on that, pretty soon, u might not need concealer. |

I use and love Guerlain Precious Lights as well. Although it is pricey, I've been using my first one since I bought it in January and it's still got a little left. It cover really well without ever settling into lines. I've abandoned all other concealors since discovering this lil gem, including my once much beloved Amazing concealor who changed their ultra-light shade from a pale neutral to a weird pinky peach shade!!! Bah.
One good active that I've tried that have helped a bit in reducing dark circles is Haloxyl from TPF thanks to Tiger_tim. Am now dying to try Remergent's Microcirculation, unfortunately it doesn't ship internationally at the moment. |

laura mercier has very good concealer for the undereye area
it's quite moisturizing too so it doesn't dry half way through the day |

Make sure you don't get the concealer meant for bemishes that I did at first - it is much thicker and creased like crazy. |

my nickname says it all! i can't leave the house without concealer. even if i am going to the supermarket--i don't want to scare people since i can look like i got punched in the eyes some days if i don't get enough sleep!
for everyday use, i like lancome's 'long lasting softening concealer.' it is their concealer esp. for undereyes (not blemishes). it is light and creamy so it won't dry or crack by the end of the day. if i go out at night, i like to use cle de peau's cream stick concealer. better/more coverage but a little bit drier. |

I've got a combination of eyebags and dark circles that's truly delightful. I started using Sage products this summer, and one of the things I got was the Firming and Brightening Cream. It hasn't got rid of my dark circles, but it has lessened them noticeably. (The bags have been somewhat addressed by allergy eyedrops and a daily dose of Reactine, but not entirely eliminated.)
Most of the concealers I've tried seem to settle right into my lines and make me look a thousand years old. The Physician's Formula yellow Wonderful Wand is pretty good for me, though it doesn't work on everyone (my circles are very purple). I've tried a couple other yellow concealers, and they looked, well, yellow, since they're slightly different shades. My current favourite, though, is my nearly-new Smashbox I-Prime. The pigment is very very fine and silky, so it doesn't do the line thing, and the pink base stuff makes quite an impressive difference all on its own, leaving only a bit of darkness to be hit up with the concealer and nifty built-in brush. |

home remedy - cut a couple of slices of cucumber. crush them slightly. take 2 pieces of cloth (preferably thin cotton ones...eg old hankerchief)...dampen them and squeeze the water out. Now put the crushed cucumber with the juice in the cloth making it in a round shape (to cover your eyes). Put the two round cloth on your eyes for no longer than 5minutes. Wash your eyes afterwards and apply a moisturiser. If you do this regularly (once a day) for a week, you will see results.
In cosmetics, I have found decleor's eye cream very effective. |

I swear that using Gelatine as a treatment works so well. Here is a link to the recipe and directions for application.
