I think about buying a manual face brush. What brand do you use? What results do you see? Can it be used only with foaming cleanser or any cleanser type?
Thank you. |

Jumpingball,
I now use the Clarisonic (motorized facebrush), but I did use a cheap manual one at first (then I upgraded to a motorized Homemedics one, then the Clarisonic). I can't recall the brand I used, but it was just a cheap one I picked up at Walmart or Target or somewhere like that. It was small, clear pastel with really soft white bristles. I would think you would get similar results from any type of manual brush, although I don't claim to be an expert. I got good results (I now use it to exfoliate my upper arms in the shower). However, I would find that using it with a foaming cleanser was too drying, I preferred to use a non-foaming cleanser. Make sure you work from the bottom of your face/neck upwards, moving upwards in small circles. After I finish my face, I like to kind of make a gentle downward scraping motion with the brush over the area from below my ears down my neck (8 times each side), this is said to help remove toxins as it stimulates your lymph glands. I don't know whether it works for sure, but it feels good and can't hurt. I had read that on a website about homeopathy and sry skin brushing. Anyway, good luck! Adding a skin brush to my routine is something I wish I had known to do years ago! |

I bought one when I ordered from DY a couple of days ago.
The one from Dermalogica gets good reviews on MUA and they sell it here. |
