I have occasional eczema flare ups and I was wondering if any of the ingredients might help, but not irritate the rest of my face and body skin. Eczema and acne seem like "opposite" skin conditions. A 5oz bar is only $4.95.
What do you think of these ingredients:
This traditional African Black Soap recipe contains Palm Ash, Plantain peel extract, Tamarind extract, Papaya enzymes and Salicylic acid. This powerful combination has traditionally been used to soothe and relieve symptoms associated with Eczema, Acne, oily skin, Psoriasis and other minor skin problems. African Black Soap works to balance skin pH and improve skin texture. It encourages new cell growth to reveal radiant, healthy skin.
African Black Soap, made from Palm ash, Tamarind extract and Plantain peel has been used in Africa for centuries for Eczema, Acne and oily skin. There are many historical references to Shea Butter, which is a staple of African pharmacology.
Ingredients:
100% Vegetable Soap: African Black Soap Base, Coconut Oil and/or Palm Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Meal, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Plantain Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Vegetable Glycerin, Mineral Pigment or Vegetable Color, Essential Oil Blend.

Well, it is a soap and I can't see the benefit to sensitive skin.
But if you do go ahead and try it; let us know.
I personally like the A-derma line. I got travel packs at Shoppers Drug Mart for $5.00. I later bought full size.

I have the cream and cleansing oil. It really saved my skin this winter. Previous winters I would have red, dry patches on my face. Not this year; and it has been even more bitter cold. |

I have used this in the past. It is good on sensitive skin but just okay for me. I find it hard to rinse off the residue and it leaves rings in my tub as well. |

I worry about little black bits settling in my large pores, making them look worse. |

SS: Did you try the soap yet?
What else are you using in routine? |

I love this soap. I use Dudu Osun. It keeps blemishes at bay. I have noticed also that even tho my skin feels very clean after using it (no slippery residue, etc) it does not make my skin feel tight and dry and some of my supposedly moisturizing cleansers do. I have combination, fair skin. |
