I'm writing this in red cause that's what my skin looked like when I rinsed the peel off my face, but I'm going too fast. I got a sample of JB Green Apple Peel for us sensitive folks. First off there isn't much of a smell to this mask and it was easy to apply. I expected some burning and was surprised when I felt only a minor tingle. (A patch test never works for me so I was taking a chance using the peel but I have nowhere to go this weekend.) When I rinsed the peel off you could see exactly where the product ended up, kinda like when we used to use those red tablets to show where we missed brushing our teeth. I didn't panic cause I have lots of goodies that are soothing so I applied some Decleor Harmonie Cream. Within an hour the red was gone!
This is the first time I've used the JB peels and the result was red skin for awhile but I noticed my skin felt very smooth and soft. I like this stuff, but I warn anyone out there...respect the peel and don't think more means better! I think I'll use this one every week or so |

Thanks Rufus. I have sensitive skin & was actually thinking of getting the stronger peel before reading this. |

You're welcome. Even though my skin was a bit sensitive and red for awhile after using the mask I found the results were quite good. I'd use the mask maybe a couple of times a month and rememeber to closely time how long it's on. Plus I'd steer clear of the eye area. |

Hi Rufus:
I tried the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel (full strength) for the first time on Sunday night. I left it on for 15 minutes, didn't feel any tingling or burning or anything. Rinsed it off, and my skin wasn't red either. Hopefully it did something for me. The only thing I didn't like about the product is it felt slimy when trying to rinse it off with warm water and my hands. So then I used a wet cloth to get the product off my face. Other than that, I will continue to use it and see how it works with my skin. |

I've been using the Sensitive JB GA Peel for a few months now and the effects and results have changed quite a bit. The first few times I used it I definitely noticed the tingling and my face turned beet red in a very short while. The redness subsided within an hour. After a few more uses the tingling was no more and the redness was not as intense. Now, after a few months use, I hardly get the tingling at all nor do I get any redness either. I think it all depends on my skin at the time. Sometimes it tingles and I will get some red patches, other times nothing at all. I also found that I have to leave it on longer now for better results while in the beginning 15 mins was good enough. I also have gone on to use it as a spot treament for blemishes and that way I can use it more often without having to do my whole face when not necessary. I'm beginning to believe that the "active" qualities of the peel weaken over time after the product is opened and that's why the experience and results are different. Overall I still like the product. The WOW factor I got in the beginning, I'll sadly admit, has gone, but I still notice results and that's what counts. I'll definitely continue to purchase this and recommend it. |

wildflower it is certainly possible that the active qualities of the peel weaken over time but your skin also develops a tolerance for peels. I noticed this when I was getting peels done at my derms. My skin was able to tolerate high streneghs and longer application times. It also seemed that when I had maxed out the peel strength and application time that getting the same strenght peel over and over did not product the WOW factor anymore. Yes, you are right the results are what count. Your skin probably has less to improve on after using the peel for a while.
Let me know what happens when you get a new jar of the JB peel! |

Thanks for the review on the sensitive mask. I ordered the Juice Beauty cleansing milk, moisturizer & a toner...almost got the try me mask...glad I didn't. I hope the other products don't cause any irritations. I have very dry/sensitive skin. |

Last night I used the Sensitive peel for the second time. This time I watched the clock more carefully and left it on not quite 10 minutes. I avoided the eye area and the apples of my cheeks because that's where I have the worst problem with the rosacea. My skin did go red mainly on the forehead but overall the results were similar to the first peel and I do like the product. The small sample jar has enough for about 4 peels if you resist the temptation to shove a thick layer of the stuff on. The peel has been open for a week now so I wonder if next time I will notice if the strength goes down over time. |

I dont have a sensitive skin but i have a dry skin, i wonder how is this with a dry skin. I hardly use any peel on my face but i know that i need it so that product will get more absorb. Im just scared because most of the ones dehydrate my skin. |

I, too have lately been noticing the Curse of the Diminishing Effect of my peel...mine is PSF's pumpkin enzyme peel. I'll still continue using it though just to help get rid of dead skin cells. However not much difference in smoothness/radiance as initially experienced. |

Use a good moisturizer after or a moisturizing mask, that might help. |

Hi,
i ordered this with the blemish serum.
the first time i used the green apple peel it was kind of scary. after just a few minutes, my face was beet red. the second time ditto. i know lots of people love this but after i rinsed it off i did not see any real effects compared with other peels/masks.
the blemish serum i use to spot treat but again not great results as other people. once i tried putting some more on on the sides of my face where i tend to get congested and i woke up to small bumps. (thank you emu they went away.
i am disappointed as so many people raved about this brand and the products so now i have full sizes i hardly use. i think i feel a swap coming on with one of my sisters (we call it a c**p swap - we swap stuff that dont work on us)
the best peel so far for me is Decleor Phytopeel and I twin this up with Aromapurete mask to clear off blemishes.
if only i could reduce small annoying blemishes cropping up everyday my skin would be in such better condition. they are small enough to cover with makeup but so annoying! i have got some mandelic acid to try and see with continued exfoliation maybe i can get back my clear skin i had before turning 30!
good luck gals. |
