I have been using Alima mineral foundation, but decided to go back to my MAC base for a less powdery look. I have been breaking out terribly! Could the foundation have gone bad?
Thanks so much!

Sometimes it says on the packinging how long the product will last. You know that little open jar icon, with the number in it?
But, I've heard stuff like foundation is usually only good for a year after you open it. After that, you should re-buy. |

I have heard that A water-based foundation will last up to 12 months, oil-based will last up to 18 months. HTH |

Yes but it should say it on the box. It should be kept in a dark place and it would be important that it has not being touched by your hands when last used. Do not know this foundation but when you say base if you mean a primer they only last 6 months. |

If you notice a change in color, odor, or texture consistency, then you should discard it no matter what the expiry date said on the pacakge. |

Check the expire date, the foundation should be used before this, but if you have opened and make sure it's within one year. |
