| I've just been wondering. Do you guys read all the pages of a thread that has so many pages? If not, how do you deal with this kind of thread? For me, I read the first page and the last one, and skip everything in between. I get really discouraged when I see a thread with 20 or 30 or 40 pages. I wonder why EDS encourages posting to the same thread, and not starting a new one. Does it have something to do with storage issue? |

That was EDS responding to complaints, especially in product reviews, about multiple threads on the same topic, especially when they just had a few superficial questions or comments which had usually been answered already or said many times over. I personally think if you have anything new or substantial to say then it's a good idea to make a new post because those long threads develop a very specific user following and other people won't see it. |

| I will usually read the first page, then "watch" the thread so that I can easily find it again -- then I might go back and read the earlier pages later on. |

 m, depends on whether the post is relevant to myself..when im planning on buying a particular product i read all the posts, if not then i just read the first page and the last post |

If it's a topic I'm interested in, I'll read all the pages ... looks like I'm the first one posting here to say that! For instance, I read all the Lips2Kiss pages because I wanted to try the product and didn't want to miss any information.
However, it did take me several days to find the time to read it all.
Sometimes I'll initially read the first/last pages of a long thread I'm interested in, but I'll go back later and read the rest. Yes, it's time-consuming, but if I didn't do it I would just keep wondering what I missed! |

Perhaps because I've been on the list so long I'm usually reading the pages as they were posted and have an idea what they are about...unless I forget  |

I also read all, if it's relevant. I don't really see the point in reading only the first and the last. The first yes, for obvious reasons. But just the last? Loads of interesting stuff could have been said inbetween then! (Or not in some cases  )
Although I have to admit, I have a lot of time on my hands, maybe too much!!

| If I find a post that is something I am interested in learning more about I will read it all. I admit I skim quickly unless something in particular catches my eye. Then again I am a fast reader. I get really irritated if I am reading something with someone else & I have to wait 10 minutes for them to finish reading before I can turn over and read the next page.. |

| Depends on what the post is. If it's just a bunch of random comments in between pages than I get bored and stop reading, but if it's a thread that interests me I usually read all the pages. Hopefully I'm reading the posts as they are created so I don't have to go back and read thousands of pages. |

It depends. If it is something I'm interested in then I would read everything.
If it is not relevant to me then I would read only a couple of posts. |

same, but I think if it gets long enough I feel like I've missed out on something. I eventually read through it like the skb thread.
You couldn't really get it all unless you read through (kinda like L2K and IE2mm). |

I actually hate the cat fights. Makes me lose interest in seconds. I will read through threads if they are not too long, but I think 6 pages is as far as I'm prepared to go! |

Yes, I agree with you on that. I can't seem to read 40 pages while at work, or I'd be afraid my boss would find out I've been on EDS instead of working. LOL Well, I don't even want to read 40 pages especially when there're a lot of posts that are like vitamin fillers that don't substantiate to anything. Of course there're really important ones in the middle, too, but to find them, it's just too hard and not worth it. I'd rather just start a new thread with my particular concern, and get a response that pertains to that, or at least one can hope. |

Another note on the L2K thread. There's not really a lot to update. Especially if you didn't take before pics.
And... bkk... how's it going with the IE2mm? If you read through you would know why it's 'not working' for you  . |

I used it twice (or maybe 3 times) so far and finished up one of the samples. The last time I used it I did get several white balls all over my face. It was kinda funny. I was rubbing my face and there was nothing one minute, and the next minute, there were tons. I was like where did they come from?? LOL Anyway I still have one more to use, but I'm not sure what it does for my face exactly other than having these balls on it and I got to wash them off. My skin felt the same.
Guilty as charged! How did you know I didn't read through the whole thread?? What did I miss? |
