Hi
Just wondering if any Australian or Japanese users have tried this homeopathic cream. It's called Skinfix http://skinfix.com.au/index.htm. It claims to be "capable of alleviating more than 30 different conditions of the skin, deep tissue, joint and circulatory system."
To be honest it's website is quite off-putting because it comes across as snake-oil and there's no real research just a handful of case studies, but I'm really interested in this product because someone I know makes a lot of claims for it. Firstly that it will heal midge bites overnight - that's amazing because some kinds of midge you meet in the countryside here and a nightmare. If you can imagine something 100 times worse than mosquitoe bites and which get worse over several days then you get the picture. He also claims it holds back a cancerous thing on his nose which he needs treating and he gave it to someone for their exczema and it cleared up the attack in one day.
Of course with all this said I'm more interested in it's general skin improving/anti-aging benefits. I mean so many anti-aging products are based on provoking the healing mechanism and this seems to do the same without irritation.
I've tried to get a jar off them and they've got 5 but are unwilling to let one go . I'm thinking of ordering it all the way from Australia.
Anyone used it?
TIA Molly

Molly, thanks for the link
The product looks nice, but I am not sure what to think of the trials and testimonials either.
I've emailed them to ask about the ingredients of the actual cream.. I hope it is as nice as the herbs.. And this is another lemming for me too |

I think the trials (?) and testimonials are genuine if a bit amateur. Only this guy knows the woman who makes the stuff so my feeling is it's real. If I didn't know that then this website would put me right off with it's miraculous healing tone.
I tried a dab on my leg, unfortunately it was the only part of my body without SS at the time , and it did melt right in. It wasn't greasy or tacky if that's any encouragement to BUY!
I thought it might have even faded some split veins, but the power of suggestion is sometimes very strong in that area. I see it's supposed to help with microcirculation.
Anyway, it might be a lemming but at least it's a cheap one. I'm still hoping I can nag my way to getting a jar off this guy.
You just can't taunt a skinaholic like that and get away with it |

I've emailed them but not replies..
This guy you know, is he like in China? (Are you still in GZ?)
If it's good for microcirculation then I'm gonna be smearing this all over my legs... because any scars or insect bites I get take years to even fade (and they seem to disappear within days if I get them on my arms or neck ).. |

They finally replied after two days, the base is a vegetable oil emulsion. But I have to make a toll call to Aus if I want a full ingredients list
It's strange how a cream from Aus has reached all the way to GZ, is the guy an ex-pat? |

Sounds like they're not really geared up for online selling, maybe they're a little overstretched. I know they've just got a big deal to supply a chain drugstore in Aus and they're looking for a supplier for the other parts of SE Asia.

We found the Skinfix on Big Wave Beach in Eastern Kowloon. It must've washed up with the tide.
Joking, sorry. Yes, he's Australian and picked up 10 or so jars of the stuff off her last time he was there because he's so convinced of it's magical properties, especially with insect bites. Mind you I should warn you he's one of these people who's overly positive about everything so I'd just try one jar or a sample first, if possible. |

I have used Skinfix for a year now. I order mine online, never had a problem. I am not sure about all the conditions it claims to fix, but the insect bites stop itching at once. I don't really believe anything cures overnight, takes couple of days, but it works better then anything I ever tried.
I use it a face cream every couple of days or so. I am over fifty, so I do not believe in miracles, but it helps skin immensely, particularly if you have a dry one. It has deep penetration, restores and is not greasy. |

Thanks for posting Maria.
I don't believe in miracles either, but every little helps! I'll certainly get hold of some of this for the insect bites if I head back for Asia again. |
