Has anyone bought a can, or tried someone else's? Just wondering if it's super-sticky, or if it has a heavy fragrance to it.
Kindly note: I finally got around to seeing Hairspray today. LOVED this movie!

Hi CM! I have a bottle of the "Shaper" version sitting in my cabinet, just waiting to be tested. I'll test drive it tomorrow and report back ASAP! (Here's hoping it's better than "Fekkai Sheer Hold" which was both super sticky AND heavily fragranced, blech!) |

For 15 years, the ONLY hairspray I would ever use was the Sebastian Shaper Plus. No other hairspray could match it in all aspects - hold, workability, great fragrance, etc., etc....then things went horribly wrong....they changed the formulation to accommodate something about florocarbons or something in the spray that wasn't eco-friendly - and it has never been the same....I have tried a bunch since then, but nothing compares to my love of the ol' Shaper Plus...
But I digress...I did buy the Ultra Clutch b/c I had just seen (and ADORED) Hairspray as well - and thought, maybe, just maybe, for old times sake, this one would be the old formula, but alas, it is the same "new" version of the Shaper. It's not sticky Casper's Mom, is still really easy to work with, but for me, the hold still isn't what it was (bear in mind I have very, very, straight, fine hair - I was queen of the perms in the 80's - also blonde highlights - I was channeling Stevie Nicks ! ) so maybe it'll be just fine for you.
