I want to add or acellerate the fringing on the leg opening and wondered how to speed that up instead of waiting for a thousand washes.

Hand them over to a pre-pubescent. Just be prepared to clean up all the fluff afterwards

Did you cut them yourself or are they manufactured that way?

If it is the earlier, throw them in the washing machine and it will do the job fast.

If the later, it is not as speedy and you may have to take a seam ripper and take a few rows of thread off to encourage fraying. Smile

OMG, I almost choked when I read this. I teach fourth grade and my little divas are the QUEENS of fashion forward. Any time I wear something they like they crow, "Gf, you have got it going ON!!!"

4th/5th grade girls will get it taken care of!

LOL.

Laughing That's so funny!

Anyway, what about some heavy duty sandpaper to rub the ends? Might help loosen up the fibres and give it a distressed look at the same time.
