Does this smell good? I know the regular cleansing oils smell really nice. Also, is it drying to the skin? I currently use the normal/dry formula, but I'm tempted to dry the olive forte to see how it helps my occasional pimples. |

Bumping this to see if anyone has tried this oil cleanser. Seems to get decent reviews at MUA. I may end up buying it if the normal/dry formula is not back in stock soon. |

Marci,
I have oily skin and tried all the cleansing oils. The one I prefer the best is the normal/dry. The oily one was seemed okay but my lips became so dry and cracked.I never thought it could of been the oil causing it.I ordered a bottle of the normal/dry as a gift but ended up keeping it. No more dry lips! Not sure if it was the previous oil causing the problem but it went away when I started using the normal/dry.
I ordered the olive forte because of the reviews at MUA.I prefer The normal/dry.It's lighter and silkier and I think it washes off better. The olive/forte seemed to drag on the skin and it also stung my eyes a bit. |

Thanks, ksee. I am bummed that Laventine is out of stock on the normal/dry formula. They told me last week they would have more in about a week. [tapping foot while waiting]. |

I'm waiting too
I have 3/4 of a bottle left of the olive forte but I'm really missing the normal/dry.
I'm curious about the lavender shampoo and body wash.I loved their lavender glycerin bar! It appears that they discontinued it. |

marci--have you considered trying the GoW one? I have it and I think it is incredible and the price is just too good to be true.

I looked at the GoW ingredients, but it seemed to have more additives than the Laventine, so I held back. I suppose for the price, it might be worth a try. I am going to contact Laventine today to see if they have a date for restocking the normal/dry formula. |

I have been using the Laventine Olive Forte cleansing oil for a couple of months now. I like it. I think it's more gentle on my skin than the normal/dry formula, but the n/d formula smelled better. The Olive Forte smells like olive oil, as you might expect. I washes off okay. I think the n/d formula washed off better. I think that the Olive Forte is as moisurizing (maybe a little more so) than the n/d formula on my skin.
I ordered the DHC cleansing oil to compare. I liked using my samples of this on a recent vacation and I was impressed with how well it washed off. So I will try DHC for a while to see how it does with removing "very water resistant" sunscreen under MMU, and how well it washes off. |

I have both the Laventine and DHC and side by side I much prefer the DHC. Much easier to emulsify and wash off. The Laventine seems much heavier to me. |
