This morning I had on two home shopping networks while doing some housecleaning.
The first was ... and a jeans designer. I actually had purchased a pair of these jeans and like them. But I swear, all I heard over and over was about women's weight and how we must cover up any less than perfect parts! It was over-and-over-and-over, the same litany.
The second was featured a "skin expert" who went on and about his latest creams that will "lift and firm." I had to check the ingredients. The first ingredient is aloe vera, which is known to cause some skin tightening (but can be very drying). You can buy a bottle of it for about $2. His products that use it cost about 10 times that amount.
Go to any other home shopping network and you'll hear similar endless crap about women and weight, women and jowls, sagging, etc. It really is sickening. |

Unfortunately, women do buy into this. |
