I am a firm believer in getting "more bang for a buck". Some of you may recall that I used to rave about Suave's cheapola Healthy Shine Pro Vitamin Conditioner for Colored Hair.
It was simply the BEST conditioner that I had ever used, and even my hairdresser was amazed by the incredible condition & silkiness of my hair when using it.
Lever (owner of Suave): discontinued my beloved product about 2 years-ago. Nothing has met my $1.99 dynamo since. Not even pricey Terax Crema!
About 12 years-ago, I used to rely on Clairol's Infusium conditioner. It's price point was reasonable, and I liked the way it detangled my abundance of fine, curly hair.
For some reason, I strayed from it, thinking that I would get better results if I used Matrix, Redken, etc.
Five weeks ago, I returned to Infusium. Why did I ever stray? (not that I regret doing the Suave-thing!)
Back-tracking a bit: I had tried Avalon Organics' Glistening Shampoo & Conditioner, as it's ylang-ylang scent wooed me when it was on sale for $4.99. HATED the results from both products! I now use the shampoo as a body wash, and the conditioner to shave my legs.
Infusium was on sale for $4.99/bottle, so I figured, "Why not?" Once again, I've been pleased with the results.
Clairol has revised it's Infusium line within the past few years. As I have high-lift, white blonde highlights (40 vol. bleach), I selected the version for colored hair.
Know that I am very particular about fragrance! I can't stand fruity or overly fragranced ANYTHING. Infusium is subtle. Me likey.
Shampoo: does the job. Cleanses my hair. Lathers nicely, with minimal product (soft water here in Vancouver).
Conditioner A little goes a long way. My crazy abundance of fine hair is detangled with minimal product, feels, smells, and looks great!
THUMBS-UP! |

I had totally forgotten about this product! I used to use it too and loved it... time to make a trip to the shampoo aisle! Thanks for resurrecting this product for me! |

My colored red hair luvs this stuff too! I use all 3 products, but especially love the leave in conditioner...(If you use a flat iron, you will appreciate this one.. )
I am also a very fussy fragrance connoisseur, and must admit, that this is my all time favorite fragrance...Just a really nice clean scent! (The type that all of a sudden you're pleasantly aware of when playing, 'lets see how we look in a moustache'.. )
Definite thumbs up from me too! |
