I use camomile or black tea bags and put them directly onto my eye lids. It does not prevent any wrinkles or anything like that, but definitely helps with tired eyes, its quick refreshing and cheap! |

Aren't cucumber slices applied to (closed) eyes also supposed to be a de-puffer? |

This is a great suggestion, to some extent green/red/black teas will help prevent aging if used regularly because of the antioxidant properties. any non de-caffeinated should work to de-puff/refresh the eye area. |

I too use black tea bags to de-puff my eyelids in the morning. Don't leave them in the fridge overnight- I steep them in ice water to chill them for 5 mins (just so the caffeine is still concentrated). The caffeine constricts dilated capillaries which helps diminish the dark circles and the tannins in black tea help de-puff the eye area because of strong astringent compounds that shrink swollen tissues. And nothing like a shot of coldness on your eyes to wake you up in the morning! |
