I wear sunscreen in place of moisturizer in the morning. I find that the oils and/or other ingredients in sunscreens gives my skin enough moisture. Does anyone else do this?
So my routine is:
* wash face
* witch hazel toner
* sunscreen
* wait about 30 minutes to apply makeup
* mineral makeup |

Yes, I do this, too. I have oily skin and, if I used a moisturizer in addition to my sunscreen (either Aveeno Positively Radiant SPF 15 or Neutrogena Dry Touch SPF 55, depending on whimsy), my makeup would be running in rivulets down my face by noon. As it is, with just sunscreen alone, I find myself blotting my T-zone about twice during the day. |

I feel like using moisturizer under sunscreen lotion all year long. |

I would never do that, since they do different functions.
I have combo towards oily skin, so instead of a moisturizer I use Emu Oil combo (+ raspberry seed oil + hazelnut + jojoba), let it absorb (1-3 minutes), then apply sunscreen, let it absorb, then apply mineral makeup.
THat way my skin gets enough antioxidants, nourishment, additional sun protection (rasp. seed oil reportedly has SPF 50) and nothing balls up, makeup stays, etc.
Total routine is more complex:
1). Super CP
2). DMAE gel (for firming)
3). Emu Oil combo
4). Sunscreen
5). Makeup
HTH,
Lucy. |

I think that at any age the skin needs more than just moisture, and more then just sun protection. These, of course, are a must.
However, the skin needs antioxidants, nourishments, etc.
It is convenient to have it all in one product, and a young person can get away with it for a while. |

I was using a moisturizer AND sunscreen for a while, but my face was getting far too oily, so I got the Neutrogena Age Shield stuff, which is a strong SS, with anti-oxidents and stuff. If i need extra moisture, I might dab on some face oils.
i think I'm a "simpler is better" face person. |

When I had oily skin or trying to control my acne problem, I would skip the moisterizer. I also found the the Vit. C was a moisterizer even though it was not. Then I would apply my sunblock.
Now I can't live without moisterizer. |

I use Sunscreen only as a moisturizer. Although I do use a B5 Hydrating Gel before the sunscreen to back up my Vit. C Serum, but that is it for me. I have oily skin with mild breakouts, so I don't want to put too much on my face. |

i always use sunscreen in the Am before i put on my make up. its makes a real difference to the darkness of freckles. you'd be surprised how much UV strength there is even in the winter months. i have pretty oily skin. i use my regular moisturiser and then clinique Super City Block SPF 40. |
