I'm wondering of the above which product would be best for anti aging & moisturizing effects.
I'm not sure of the difference between all the above products.
I have dry skin with fine lines & I’m currently using a vit C serum 20% & Avene Ystheal retinol cream.
Which product would you recommend & why?
Many Thanks ..

ditto, ditto, ditto
I use both emu and squalane (emu longer).
I have skin that tends to dry, and no longer have the urge to slather moisturizer on constantly.
In the summer (I live in the northeast), my skin is "normal".
it penetrates deeper than most oils and moisturizers.
is a healer as well as a moisturizer (i use this on my goddess-in-training)-
and deserves a space in the medicine cabinet as well as the skin care shelf(ves).
can be used to buffer (gentler) , or push (stronger) application of actives like copper.
and it's very similar to the composition of human skin oils.
I would highly recommend this for ANY skin type -
it makes for happier healthier skin.
emu rocks!

Hyaluronic Acid, hands down. The data proves it, and I wouldn't use anything else in a formula to give better moisturization results.

I have heard so much about Emu oil from this forum but i have never seen one or tried one before.
i am using Cellex-c hydra 5 b complex which contains Hyaluronic Acid. i apply that after the vitamin c serum. i am pretty happy with the result. |

I know this has been asked before but...
has anyone experienced acne breakouts or clogged pores from Emu Oil??
I don't suffer from acne but my pores are really prone to congestion and thus get clogged very easily.
I'm sorry for asking this again...it's just the
"oil" part of the name that makes me skeptical.
TIA. |

That's very interesting because you say that according to the data and I don't distrust that it's true, but in practice hardly anyone here likes to use HA without something lipid on top. Unless you live in a very humid environment HA alone makes the skin surface feel really dry. |

without liquid on top the HA does dry up pretty quickly. i live in a very dry environment in canada, and i would never go out with HA alone. that being said, with another layer of moisturizer, the HA works. |

I would go with HA and then emu oil over that. |

The comment I made says that I like to use Hyaluronic Acid as the main moisturizing ingredient in formulas. I wouldn't use it by itself because it would dry out rather quickly. I was talking about using it as an ingredient in lotions or creams that definitely have an occlusive emollient oil phase incorporated in it to keep the HA at the surface of the skin.

Emu Oil + HA.
I have combo towards oily skin and would not go with HA only. I use HA primarily to help absorbtion of Emu Oil. When I am lazy I just mix it with some waterin the palm of my hand.
Dr. Pickard (from skinbio) had the entire theory that Emu oil is the only one capable of restoring skin barrier. I am not a chemist, but there were many posts by biochemists on DY's boards concuring his opinions. HA, is of course, a well known for it's moisturizing properties, but Emu does so much more - calms my skin, makes more even toned, plumps it, etc.
In my eyes if I could only choose one - it would be Emu Oil.

I used emu oil sometimes when my skin is really dehydrated and I got oily skin prone to breakout. All the time I use it my skin did not breakout more. But like I said I dont use it everyday. |

thanks. i was reading the reviews on emu oil. people said they have to apply it 5 or 6 times a day, why is that? if you have make-ups, can you still apply the oil on top of your foundation? sorry for my ignorance on emu oil! |

I use it DAILY and had breakout all my life until now.
I am now the local "expert" among my friends, after they had seen my skin's transformation (knock on wood).
Emu Oil is healing and not clogging. You use it instead of the moisturizer, or before if you feel it is not enough (that is what my very dry skinned mother does).

I have used emu and HA and liked the combo.
I am really liking the PSF ALN (Squalene) after my lactic acid peel. |

So, which HA and emu product is everyone using? I am interested in these, but don't really know where to get them. |

Actually, the Hyaluronic Acid (medium molecular weight) had been shown to reverse skin thinning in older people which I would consider anti-aging. Check this article out for more details.

I have the Cellex C Hydra B Complex as well and the Dremu emu oil...I am a recent convert and lover of emu oil...I've only tried the Dremu oil so I can't compare it to anything - I absolutely love it, though!

rileygirl -- I have purchased both fromwww.dianayvonne.com. I use both the clear emu (it has no fragrance) as well as the plain hyaluronic acid.
