So I'm one of those poor souls that has to shave my legs once a day, no ifs, ands or buts about it. EVERY DAY. Sometimes in the summer, if I wear shorts and then go out at night, I need to shave thoroughly in the morning, then touch up at night before heading out. Sigh.
When I'm able to afford it, I will go the Laser route (which will probably end up saving me money in the end) but alas, until then I must abide by conventional methods.
WHAT IT IS: Kiss My Face Moisture Shave in Key Lime (also comes in other scents: Peaceful Patchouli, Peach Moisture, Vanilla Earth, Lavender and Shea, Cool Mint, and unscented, both in an 11oz and 4oz. size)
INGREDIENTS for the Key Lime:
Water, Potassium Myristate, Sodium Myristate, Propylene Glycol, TEA Stearate, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Aloe Vera, Vitamins A & D, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E), Allantoin, Lecithin, Extracts of Lime, Peppermint, Lady’s Mantle, Soapwort, Horsetail, Watercress, Lemongrass, Sage, Goldenseal, Orange Flower, Arnica, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance, Sodium Benzoate
THE RESULTS:
I for one, find shave creams and gels in cans way too drying. I get razor burn VERY easily and because I shave so often (I'm also brunette...boo), it was getting expensive. So I actually switched to using Dove or Olay body wash to shave and slathering on lotion (now CareKate's Shave minimizing oil) right after my shower. I have hard water (cannot soften it, I live in a condo complex) and it wrecks havoc on my skin sometimes (good for my acne prone face though!).
For 7 bucks at Whole Foods, I bought the 11 oz in Key Lime (for a boost in the morning, though the scent is very subtle). When you dispense the product, it looks more like a hand soap (I figured it would NOT be very good...oh dear) but it lathers into a rich foam so I little goes a LONG way. AND BOY! my legs were fabulous afterwards. My very favorite shave cream was discontinued (Skintimate exfoliating shave cream) and this is the closest I've come to they way my legs felt after that. With exfoliation before shaving, I can pretty much mimic the wonders of my old Skintimate cream (not the one in a can, it was a different type of cream).
I plan on repurchasing it...when I get bored of Key Lime, I'll try the other scents.
This is GREAT! KMF has a winner with this one! I actually don't mind shaving with this...I have some very tender areas that are prone to razor burn but I have no problems with this!

Great review, Paris! I love this stuff--- it's a daily driver for me! I have the 11 oz pump in Cool Mint in my shower and I use it for legs, armpits, and um, everywhere else you can think of.  It beats the HECK out of those soap-based gels that you buy at the drugstore--- those always dried my legs, and I could never seem to get a close shave with them. I actually gave a bunch of these to my brothers and Dad for presents one year and they were thrilled (my Dad esp. has really coarse facial hair, but he says when he uses this stuff it doesn't hurt when he shaves any more.), so if anyone is looking for a good present for a guy, this one's a winner. |

| I love this stuff, too! I'm currently using Cool Mint, and the peach is yummy. I've even turned hubby on to it, as an alternative to his Edge gel. He likes the Key Lime. |
