the content of ur mask like?

i just opened my new jar and it was really soft but my old jar, it was really hard, clay-like and difficult to apply/spread

have they changed the formulation or something or have a got/had a bad batch?

i would open my other acne mask (i bought 2 at once just in case i run out of it Very Happy ) but once opened, i thought it might go hard...

thanks for helping!

The new jar is fresh and of course it would be soft. After a while it will harden as the clay dries up, that's the problem with the PSF mask and I have expressed my concerns to them about this more than 6 months ago so they do know about it. It's very normal that your old jar is hard and the new jar is soft. What I do is everytime I use my old jar I spritz some Evian in before I close it and the next time I use it it will not be as hard anymore.

Thanks for that tip. Mine could use a little softening. Smile

I get it now yeahyeah. I guess next time you get another jar that's a bit hardened you should contact EDS or PSF (or whereever you got it) and get a replacement. A new jar should always bit slightly watery and much softer compared to your existing jar.

They should use a tube that you squeeze the product out from. Less air exposure that way. I only use my Queen Helene mask once in a while and I've had it for 5-6 months and it hasn't gotten hard at all. I don't like product in jars just because they aren't as clean. You're always dipping your fingers and they get exposed to air.

Yes the package makes a big difference in this type of product. I have been using Estee Lauder's pore mask for a couple months now. The green clay squeezed out the tube is still soft. The tube seems to gonna last me forever, although I am not particularly impressed by it. I was think of trying the psf mask next, but now I am probably re-considering.

Although i would too like it to be in a tube, i find the PSF mask to be the most effective acne mask that i have used and one jar lasts for a while too.

you can probably use a spatula to get the mud mask out of the jar, if you really dont want to "contaminate" it

I had to mix mine with Vichy spray as well then mix it with a spatula. It still hardened but now I know what to do.

hmm i have another question about the acne mask...

is your mask kinda grainy?
cos i have found that when i spread the mask onto my face, there seems to be these white specks. then when it dries, you can brush them off really easily (now my pillow is covered in these white stuff!)
