Given my never-ending commute, my constant bewilderment at the fascination New Yorkers have with honking and smoking in the streets, and my ultra-fair complexion, it's no wonder I had dark circles under my eyes. Not until I discovered L'Occitane Eye Contour Cream-Gel, anyway. When my never-ending quest for the perfect lavender soap led me to the doors of Grand Central's newest French boutique, I had no intention of falling into anyone's cosmetic clutches.
Ten minutes, one less-than-perfect bar of lavender soap, a heavenly bottle of teal tissue-wrapped bath gel and twelve sample packets later, I emerged and boarded my train, trendy little shopping bag telling everyone that I was one expensive woman.
Hand cream, hand cream, shampoo, conditioner, eye gel, hand cream. Being especially disgusted with the railroad that day, my dark circles were in ultra-gloom mode. Out came the sure-to-be-useless eye gel packet.
I'd like to tell you that birds sang and rose petals wafted through the train windows. . . but this is New York. I was grateful for a seat.
L'Occitane Eye Contour Cream-Gel soon had me singing. Why? Because it felt good. This thin lotion (cream-gel is a misnomer; it's much less substantial) rubbed into the delicate skin around my eyes with a cool, gentle sensation. It didn't sting or burn. It didn't feel thick and goopy. It didn't irritate my sensitive eyes, either.
It also smelled wonderful--without being overpoweringly chemical or botanical. L'Occitane Eye Contour Cream-Gel has a light herbal scent that doesn't linger, but while I'm applying the product, my nose is happy.
Thanks to the L'Occitane guy's generosity, I had two more eye gel samples in my bag. I indulged and in less than a week, I was convinced. My dark circles were significantly lighter. My make-up went on smoother. And my eyes felt good. With all the hassles New York threw in my direction, a small part of me felt refreshed each morning.
I went back and bought the tube. Although that purchase came only with more hand cream packets.

I have tried a lot of L'Occitane eye products, but the best eye cream for me is the L'Occitane Immortelle eye cream, which could really do a good job on moisturing my eyes.
But, the gel seems could not fit my eyes, because it always turns dry after 5 minutes when I apply it. |

I've tried this product before. It was just a very basic eye cream. Good for girls who are under 25 years old. hehehe |
