I've been using a department store brand, but I'd like to stop putting SD Alcohol on my face every morning and night. I only pay about 3 dollars for a months supply, though. Is there any good and *cheap* brand without the bad alcohol? |

Er.. doubt it. 3 dollars...?! PTR has a pad with 2% salycilic called Max correction..but they told me only proper acne sufferers should use it, everyone else gentle correction (1% i think) or it would overdry your skin. It seems a bargain price to me (check EDS prices which are the best) but nothing like 3 dollars. |

OK- I too have been on the quest to find the "perfect" solution.
The cheapest alcohol free option is Stridex, Maximum Strength alcohol free 2% pads.
Stridex Triple Action Acne Pads with Salicylic Acid, Maximum Strength, Alcohol Free 90 - $5.39 from drugstore "dot com" (can't provide url - new member!)
Ingredients:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Active Ingredients: Salicylic Acid 2% ((w/w))
Inactive Ingredients: Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Ammonium Xylene-Sulfonate, Citric Acid, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance, Menthol, PPG-5 Ceteth-20, Purified Water, Simethicone, Sodium Borate, Tetrasodium EDTA
Unfortunately, this has some other things you may not want like fragrance and Amonium Lauryl Sulfate.
The other option is to purchase a regular 2% BHA from ifeelprettyproducts (dot com) A 2% solution is only $10.00 for 4 oz! You can buy gauze pads from her or dianayvonne( dot com) for $8.00 and you would save a lot more money, making your own.
Hope this helps! |

Its in a dropper form but I've been using Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum and its not drying at all. Its abot $20-30...not cheap. I had some great results with the Neutrogena Anti Wrinkle Anti Blemish line. |

I use the Clearasil pads on my back. cheap & contains 2% bha (but it has alcohol)
For my face I purchased Nuetrogena Rapid Clear lotion. It has the proper PH; 2% bha and is lightly moisturizing for under $10.00 (US). Lots of raves on MUA.
Olay Anti-blemish lotion has 1.5% bha and is about $15.00 in Canada. I prefer the Nuetrogena one personally. |

MD Skincare pads are really nice, but expensive. They have both BHA and AHA. You can buy them on EDS. |
