Could I use it with the Obagi system? I am really looking for some serious changes with out the expense of doctors. I just went through a nasty divorce and it shows on my face, but if you knew how expensive it was you would know why I am trying to save every penny.

Obagi is a strong product. Personally, I would not use the DermaWand with it. It is possible that combining the two could cause irritation to your skin.

I'm using the Derma Wand with Retin-A and I'm not experiencing any problems. My skin does get a bit dry and flaky but then I just use a microfiber cloth. I use emu oil to moisturise. I'm noticing some huge improvements to my skin: less pigmentation; pores much less noticeable; smoother, more healthy looking skin so all in all, I'm extremely happy with the Derma Wand.

Am wondering if anyone has tried the Beauty Wand for the eyes or if Dermawand works better around the eyes - have mainly wrinkles under the eyes and crows feet - haven't found a skin
cream that works but am wondering if the Beauty Wand or Dermawand would work -
any thoughts??? Thx DiPhx

I decided to skip the Derma Wand this morning as it was my first time using the 15% Vit C serum from Obagi. It didn't sting but I'll stay off the wand in combi with the serum for a couple of days. On the other hand I used the wand just around the eyes together with the Dremu Oil Airbrush this morning and it felt ok.

The effects that I've felt most was the tone and color of my skin as well as the folds from the nose to the mouth have diminished. I don't have that many wrinkles around the eyes so I can't tell. I'm hoping to zap the bags though. Very Happy

Will this Dermawand help with bags under eyes or even dark circles? I'm tired of spending loads and loads of money for topical products that just give temporary results.... I was having Cellosmet line for eye care and once I ran out of it my eyes started to go back the way it was before.

Also is this the same/better than the OxyLight??

They claim to have helped some people according to the website and the testimonials but for me it's only important that it works on me. Very Happy Still waiting to see the results. If anyone out there has gotten results with the wand do write and tell the details.

Hi Cindy -Thx for the response. If you find over time that Dermawand helps the wrinkles
around the eyes or you find anything that
works, please keep all of us posted. The LEd
worked better around my nasolabial lines as well - good luck to us all! DIPhx

I've had my dermawand for YEARS now and I would die without it! While I can't use it with any really active treatments (like my tazorac), I do use it with my moisturizing mask and use it roughly 3x/week prior to day cream application (I'm loving emu oil, too!)...The Dermawand is fantastic for waking up sleepy, puffy a.m. eyes (just keep the setting on low:-)
Cheers,
Puds

You do ? I thought we were supposed to put something on prior to using the wand or do you have something on with the wand before the day cream ? I find it a bit "dragging" if I don't have anything when I use the wand. Cool

I've been using mine for about 7 weeks, and the dreaded bags are every bit as baggy... Sad

How exactly do you do it around your eyes? I'd be very grateful for your HELP!!

I have one but haven't used it in about 1 year. I did like it when I used but got lazy and forgot about it. Now I have the Tanda and find that I just need that one, to me it is more modern in the tech sense and the results are immediate! I also use Zeno when needed and I have the beurer soft laser.

I just got my Derma Wand last night. Used it last night and this morning and the top of my eye looks droopier than before!! Is this a case of "it's going to look worse before it gets better"?
Do you have any tricks to working around the eye area??

Thanks!

toblerone,

I just got my Derma Wand a few days ago. What setting did you use around your eye area? I know that they suggest setting the dial at 1.
I got a little impatient, and I turned the dial up and I noticed this morning that my upper cheeks have a rash on them. I think I'll leave it alone for 3 days and then start back on the lowest setting.

I started at around 3-4 on my face - they said that you should feel something and I didn't feel any thing at 1. I also followed the diagram "thingy" that said to move across eyelid and then in the middle turn up to high and move upwards - ZING!! I don't think it did anything and I'm hoping it wasn't the cause of my eyelid droopiness.

I'll try it regularly tomorrow without the extra ZING and see how it goes

toblerone,

You're right, I just read the booklet and it says that when you reach the middle of the brow, lift the bulb and at the same time turn the Derma Wand dial up to max. I must have missed that. I think that I'll start back slowly for a week and then up it to 4 or so the next week and see how it goes.

I just bought it from London drugs two days ago. It was on sale for $75 only, so I gave in.

I used only a couple times with setting at 1. I have some broken cap on one side on my cheek. So I am intending to keep using the wand at 1 to avoid any aggravation of my broken cap. It fits into my routine quite effortlessly, one minute after washing my face and two minutes after moisturizer. I hope I can see some results soon.

After MUCH trial and error, I finally have the eye area routine worked out for myself. Here's what works for me;

I place one hand horizontally across my forehead, and pull upward, causing the muscles to elevate and become taught. With the dial at about 4 I lightly circle the wand around the entire eye area 10 times, (staying on the bony structure). I then turn the dial to 9, and following the same circular pattern, place and hold the wand for a count of 5 around the whole eye area. Lifting for the count, on the top area of the eye, and just pressing and holding on my dreaded bags..

I also spend some time lifting and holding the whole forehead. (It's a piece of cake once you get over the initial horrid feeling).

I really love the Derma Wand now, and wouldn't part with it!

Kassy

Thanks Kassy!

I've only had my Derma Wand for over a week, so I'm still trying to figure it all out.

I'll certainly try that around my eye area.

I have to say, I really am liking it so far. My skin tone is much nicer although I haven't noticed any firming yet. Like I said its only been a week or so. This is my lst "tool" and I have the derma roller on the way. I think once we get into our 50's Crying or Very sad , we need more help than creams.
