I've been using Creme de la Rose for a week. That's probably not enough time to see what wonders it may eventually work, but I'll update later.
For those who don't know, The Body Deli uses fresh ingredients and local produce from area farms to make their products. Many of their products require refrigeration and they send those products in an insulated box with ice packs. Creme de la Rose is not a product that needs refrigeration and mine has an expiration date a year from date of purchase.
Ingredients:
Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Micro Clustered Ionized Water, Organic Macadamia Nut Oil, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Plum Seed Oil, Organic Meadofoam Seed Oil, Organic Shea Butter Green Tea Extract, White Tea Extract, Tocotrienols, Soy Amino Acid Complex, Organic Shea Butter, Vegetable Emulsifying Wax, Polysorbate, Fresh Cells Of Pomegranate, Carrot & Pumpkin, Red Algae Amino Peptides, Squalane, Astaxanthin, Biotin, D-glucuronic, D-alpha-tocopherol, Resveratrol, L-Sodium Hyluronate, Royal Jelly, Soy Amino Acid Complex, Soy Lecithin, Beta-Glucosamine, L-alpha bisabolol, Organic Evening Primrose Oil, Chamomile (L-complex), Essential Oils of Organic Bulgarian Rose Otto, Rose Geranium, Sandalwood & Ylang-Ylang, Potassium Sorbate.
In their description of Creme de la Rose, they say:

Creme de la Rose is our most popular product at Body Deli. It has become a cult beauty classic. Truly it is one of the most sensuous and delightful ultra-rich moisturizing creams available at any price. Each batch of Creme de la Rose is handmade in small batches and takes over 24 hours to make. It is hand blended for over 3 hours to get the smooth as silk texture that delivers a refined and elegant skin feel. |
Now for my impressions:
I have combo skin so I wasn't sure this would work for me, since they describe it as ultra-rich. However, using the LED on my skin everyday has been very drying. I'm finding that when I use the Creme as my moisturizer in the evenings, the dryness is gone the next morning. So, it's been great to use it in conjunction with the LED. I could never use the Creme in the morning, however, because my T-zone would be an oily mess in a very short time. If you have very dry skin, I would say the Creme would be wonderful for you.
The smell is to die for. It smells like roses but it's not overpowering in anyway. It's not a fake rose scent either but is just so soothing. Some fragrances set my allergies off - this fragrance does not.
The texture of the Creme is just as described - like silk. I've never used another moisturizer that had a texture which was as smooth as this. It does feel wonderful on the skin, no doubt about it.
They claim that the Creme will help to diminish the depth and appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I've only been using it a week and so cannot attest to that.
I'm not thrilled with the price - $75. I bought it when it was on special for $60. At this point, I don't know if I like it well enough to pay regular price.
Overall, I would rate it 5 out of 10. If that changes with continued use, I'll let you know. |
