Okay Ladies, I really need your expertise! I've narrowed it down to the GreatNewSkin Pdts (for cost, simplicity, and naturalness - thanks to manslayerliz!) and IS (for simplicity and "power" - thanks to Katee!).
I'm 39, fair, congested T-zone, fine lines around eyes, flakiness around nose/chin, and some red marks from picking
Tried IE but not really seeing huge changes. Just started Finacea which is helping A LOT, but still congestionon my chin.
I'm sick of having to put tons of concealer on to cover up my pick marks. New Year's resolution - stop picking you fool
Which of these will: really clean out my pores, minimized fine/med lines, and even out tone/texture?
Look like there's gonna be another pckg I'll have to hide from DH TIA |

Well, I'll cast my vote for the ISC. I have recently restarted using the Super Serum, which I love. After 3 months of using this (last summer) my freckles were lightened and my skin tone even, but after only about 2 weeks use, my skin just glowed with this stuff. This is the 1st and only C serum that gave me the "glow" everyone talks about with using C. I am also using the Active, which I never gave a fair trial to last summer, but that will clean out your pores. I am not sure if your skin is sensitive or not, and if so the Active may be too strong or you may only be able to use it several times a week. Just my 2 cents! |

I actually believe you could probably benefit from both lines as you could use a combination of the products quite easily. |

As you will see from my signature, I use items from both product lines.
None of the products are inexpensive - but I must say that all of the products (ISC Active, ISC Firming, Ep II and Naturdermx) require that you use relatively small amounts so the bottles last a long time. I'm finding that I'm spending less on skincare since I'm not tempted to try out other new products because I'm very happy with what I'm currently using.
Your skin sounds like it could benefit from Vit C. Today will be my first day trying the Triple C from Candessence. The ISC Superserum is very good too.
I'm dying to try the Lavendar Face Foam cleanser!
My skin complaints (and age ) are similar to yours -- I do not think you'll be disappointed at all as long as you use the products consistently.
Also -- it's easy to get/buy samples of all of these products...I suggest that you sample them first since they are expensive.
HTH!

I had very similar concerns and the IS Clinical turned my skin around product-wise. I started with Proheal, Hydracool and alternated with Super Serum in the am and then added the Active Serum at night with the Hydracool. My flakiness subsided with the use of the clarisonic. I dont' use the actives around my nose as that skin is thinner and more prone to the flakes. |

Update: I ordered the ISC Super, Active and Hydracool. Also ordered Avene Ystheal+ and Eluage. The comments were just too good and too numerous that I couldn't resist on the ISC! Thanks for all your advice. |

Hope you love them. I also ordered a sample of Candy's triple C serum and matrix, can't wait to try them. |

I've been using Active Serum, Hydracool, Pro-Heal and the cleanser from IS Clinical since late July. I can see that these products are effective in cell turnover, but hardly revolutionary for my skin. I can get similar results for much less money, IMO.
I'm considering trying the Epidermx/Chrysalyx combo next. I am also looking into some of Candy's products too. I've never used DMAE before.
I've been spending way too much money on my skin, so I promised myself no more new purchases until my current products run out. |

I am finishing up my chrysalyx/naturederm & have just ordered ISC line: active, hydra cool, firming complex & super serum. I'll let you know how the two lines compare. |

I am experiencing the worst break out I've ever had since starting ISC. I think it's either the super serum or firming complex. I'm assuming it's not the active serum, since that's suppose to be helpful for acne. |

leidon, you could be allergic to the Super Serum. I broke out badly from Vit C serums from PSF to Cellex C and concluded i can't use vit. c. Active Serum however, has been a godsend for my skin. Refined pores, texture, fading acne scars and most dramatically, controlled acne. A number of people on EDS are unable to use Vit. C. I'm sure you'll find the Active Serum a great alternative. |

Thanks dollbird. I think you're right re. the super serum. I backed off on the entire ISC line to get the breakout under control. I was going to slowly introduce one product at a time, starting with the active serum. But, I think I won't even take a chance on the super serum. I've never had a breakout this severe before. I got 12 cyst like ones & then little bumps. Thank God I just received my BBS acne gel. I extracted & then doused my face with the BBS acne gel & all of the cysts are reduced & almost gone & I haven't gotten any new ones. No other acne treatment gel has ever worked so well. Problem is, now I've got to deal with the scarring, which will take months. Hopefully the active serum will help with that.
What other products are you using for your face besides the isc active serum? Did you try the isc proheal? This vit c's suppose to be for acne prone skin? I'm almost too scared to try anything else from this line. I think I may just incorporate the active serum & then go back to the chrysalyx/naturdermx/skinceuticals, since I didn't have a reaction to these. |

Leidon, I had the worst reaction to Vit C as well...i broke out in cysts all over my forehead, an area i've never gotten breakouts before. Thanks to my active serum, the scars have dramatically subsided. The Active is the only product I use from ISC. It addresses all my skincare concerns (especially acne) so I don't feel the need to use anything else, other than a basic moisturizer on top on dry days. I am going to try EpidermxII after cleansing to help the Active absorb better. I also tried the ISC cleanser but did not notice anything great about it. If you already have a routine that works for you, i say great, but i'm sure your skin will benefit from the Active serum. At first i was hesitant to use it after my bad reaction to Vit C., and also because this is my first AHA/BHA product, but i started seeing results within the first week, and after 3 months of usage, I'm loving it even more. Good luck! |

just to add: my skin too, had bad reaction with skinceuticals vit. C but ISC proheal and super serum works fine for me |

Leidon what do you mean by BBS and would you recommend it as a treatment for cystic acne? Plus for skin healing have you tried zinc supplements? |
