I'm sure there's already a review of this floating around, but I just wanted to let those of us in the super freezing windy weather know that this, under moisturizer, is very good at preventing rough scaly winter skin and windburn.
I'm new to the east coast and was having some skin drama in January until I remembered this stuff (it does me no good when the weather is not crazy). Sometimes you can get the little teeny size which would be a good way to try it out.
edit: crap, wrong board. pretend you're in product review. |

That's okay, we understand.
Thank you for posting about this Dermalogica product -- it's one that I hadn't even noticed before. This sounds perfect for when I visit my family in Alberta over Christmas. It is always, so cold, so dry and windy, that my skin freaks out.
Do you know if you can spray it over makeup during the day? |

I'm sure you could, it's more like an infusion than a toner so it is mostly water and sinks right in....
wait a minute...I'm going to try this to set my MMU! you are brilliant, tam. |

This sounds very cool. The ingredients are: Anti-Ozonate Complex, Green Tea, Balm Mint, Cucumber, Licorice, Raspberry, Canadian Willow Herb
Anti-ozonate complex? What exactly is this? I heard of some new cream by Clinique?EsteeLauder? not sure the brand that I saw advertised in a magazine, that is supposed to help with the stress to skin caused by electronic radiation like from computer screens. Sounds interesting, don't know how that would work.
This sounds like it blocks things more like sun, cold, etc. |

you spray it on like a toner. I think it's just supposed to have some antioxidants and antinflammatories and perhaps some kind of light barrier against pollution and extreme weather. It seems to help reduce the redness and irritation from cold, but I live in a small town so I couldn't tell you about the pollution protection. I have no clue how any topical could prtect you from computer screens, however.
I saw in your sig you have eczema in winter and I wonder if it would help with that -- I get something like it every winter (don't know what it is, just bad dry patches) and so far I've been ok - hoping the spray will keep it at bay. |

although I love EDS, you might want to try and find the little size somewhere (usually in spas and under $15) to see if you like it first, since the bottle here is HUGE (I've had it forever...good news is that it doesn't seem to go funky)
or try the "sensitized" skin kit, where you get minis of all the products for stressed out wintery skin. |
