Hi Everyone,
I'll be picking up some Nicomide cream tomorrow and hope to God it works, but I need some more input from you guys! I've been on Taz .1 gel for a few months now and it's been great- reduction in acne and much smaller pores. I have some bad redness, however, from irritation and leftover pink marks from blemishes. My skin is quite dry b/c of the taz and the Paula's choice 2% BHA and I therefore decided on the cream Nicomide instead of the gel.

Someone on MUA claimed that the cream clogged her, but there are also some reports that the gel is drying. My skin is flaking all the time anyway and I'm afraid the gel would be too much. Is the cream the right decision? I'm thinking of using it in the am. Also, those who use it, how do you use it? Thanks for all of your help!!!

I use the 5% Niacinamide gel and it isn't drying to me at all. I use it under my makeup in the morning and again at night over my Differin (was using Retin-A). I don't know if I'm using it right either, but that is how I do it.

I use 4% nicomide cream and I love it. It does not break me out. I still have to use a moisturizer separately -- although it feels a bit greasy going on, the nicomide is not particularly moisturizing unless you have oily skin (mine is kind of dry). I use it as a spot treatment, as in only on the red or irritated spots. It does wonder for healing the aftermath of blemishes. I say do it, it's been a huge help, and it's not pricey.

ETA: I would never consider it drying....that's weird that someone did. also, I use tazorac.
