Hi, does anyone know of a brand of hair vitamins that contain all the vitamins and minerals that are recommended for optimal hair growth without having to take a fistful a day of them? Thanks |

Someone suggested GNC hair skin and nails. I don't take it. I'm taking 4 g of MSM and 3 g of biotins separately. |

actually GNC UltraNourish Hair is MUCH better overall for hair and skin then GNC Hair Skin and Nails.
But still short on MSM levels, and not as high on Biotin as I like.
You will not find ONE product with everything. There are a few things that help hair growth not just Biotin and MSM. And much depends on your needs and diet, and age.
But taking UltraNourish Hair, and a good multi, and adding in anything in areas where you personally need extra will help.
See my post on this thread, about middle of page where I cover suggested supplement amounts, and why you need each

If your main concern is hair health, focus on the following:
A Good Multi Vitamin: One that you can tolerate, that meets your needs on the basics.
Protein – at least 22gr of protein a day added to diet in a drink or protein rich foods and cereals, soymilk, diary (Kaschi Go Lean Crunch, Special K High Protein etc) Helps hair growth speed, thickness, strength
Biotin – growth speed
MSM – slows shed, speeds growth, increases shine and thickness
Silica – shine and softness
EFAs (Esscential Fatty Acids/oils) for attachment issues, helps dry straw like hair, softer hair, less dry scalp
If skin is also a concern, you will need to review the other ant aging nutrients and antioxidants listed in that link. |

I'm wondering if there's a supplement that would help with having a sensitive scalp.. I do take omega oils..
I'm fed up of being only able to use the very cheapest of conditioners. How perverse does that sound?!
But they are the ones without all the cones in them! |

Andrew Lessman's healthy hair, skin and nails vitamins are great, my mom's favorite. |
