Hi

http://www.beautylicious.co.uk/ has the Organic Pharmacy stuff at 25% off.

You might already know this, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Cheers

This actually is not THAT great news for those outside of UK as I discovered when I went to order...

- the website says they do "tax free", but when I went to check out, it did not automatically deduct it, so i emailed them to ask how they worked it and got the reply "we dont do tax free on this as we would be losing money". ?!? I mean, tax is tax... even if you offer 25% off, you still have to pay 17-odd% in VAT, so what difference does it make discounting the tax? (that reply alone put me off)

- their shipping rate was 20 pound!

If I buy direct from Organic Pharmacy, I get the 17% VAT discount and 15 pound shipping, so for the extra saving was not that much and at least by shopping at OP direct I know that the products are all fresh.

Bah!

Works out great for us in the UK, which makes a change when most of the discount/sale posts are for US only. Smile

The beautylicious website states they do tax free for international orders, but when I contacted them to find out how they deduct it (it is not done at check-out) they told me that there was no tax-deduction on the OP sale because they would be losing money. My first reaction was WTH?! I mean, it is a TAX not a further discount.

Anyway, given that the Beautylicious shipping cost for 2 items was 20 pound Shock it is just as good value to shop directly from Organic Pharmacy themselves - at any time internationals get 17-odd% with VAT discount and shipping on even a huge order is only 15 pound - well, actually only 12.50 because they take the VAT off the shipping too. Plus if buying direct from OP I know the product would be nice and fresh and stored well.

I have received my OP items from beautylicious, was a bit concerned that the expiry date might be a bit close but all have long dates '08 and the 25% off was a bonus. It's not a regular thing, I believe they are stopping stocking OP so if you're interested better hurry.

I just read this thread and got really incensed when I saw tigertim's post. As she says tax is tax, it's not a company's to keep but to give to Customs. It's a consumer tax. I thought maybe it was a VAT scam (like when builders or small garages charge VAT on a car service but they are not registered for VAT as their annual turnover is less than the amount needed, therefore they illegally pocket the 'VAT' they have charged the consumer - it's always worth looking for the number and look it up if you have any doubt!). I was about to look up on the VAT database to see if this company was registered.

But at the same time, I looked at the company's website and their terms and conditions and mystery solved. They are based off shore, in Guernsey, therefore all their prices quoted on the website are already net of tax..available to everyone including UK residents. So no dodgy dealings but no deal for tigertim.. Sad

catski - where did you see something for £150...?! I couldn't see it on beautylicious?
I just looked on OP's own site and double rose face cream is £32 and rose body cream £34?

woah..for a body cream..*faints*
And bit concerned about a product that claims 'Stimulation of Lipolysis (breakdown of fat)' and 'Tighten & firm the skin including neck & bust' - what if you ended up with no boobs and a firmer but still same sized tummy?!
