I would go for LP as the products I've sampled have been effective on my skin. Darphin to me seems like an overpriced version of Decleor, not sure if it's really any better. I prefer Decleor balms over Darphin's. |

La Prairie is very nice. Esp. the Rose Illusion primer and foundations. |

I only tried darphin rose oil stuff. Gave me alligator skin. I have heard that LP is pretty basic stuff but very overpriced so I'd go with that! |

I don't have experience with La Prairie. Have read about celebrities using the line.
I got interested in Darphin when finding out about Decleor. I have a number of samples of Decleor's Aromessence oils as I'm trying to figure out the best one for my skin. I actually love all of them. The Iris may be too rich for me - it's made for mature skin (I'm 41yo and not sure what "mature" skin is).
On Tuesday, I went to a local place that carries Darphin and I sampled their oils. Later in the day, I had bumps where I placed one of the oils (the myrrh for dry skin I think). Today the skin on that spot is still much rougher than the skin surrounding it (thankfully it's on my hand) Everyone's skin is different but I think with the price and everything considered, I'll stick Decleor as I haven't gotten any bad reaction from any of their oils (the only one I haven't tried is the Ylang Ylang for oily skin).
I would experiment with the samples you already have before spending big - see what your skin like ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

Im thinking the same. I have compared a lot Darphin and Decleor. Its the same thing. The phylosophy is the same , the products are similar...dont waste your money. |

I would definately go for Darphin - the products are more than just oils. The Arovita C cream and their Intral balm get great reviews on makeupalley.
In fact, have been looking at this myself...but so overstocked at the moment ![Embarassed](images/smiles/redface.gif) |

My mum used both of them, and she likes La prairie. |

I've been using since La Prairie since I was 18. Some products I like, some I really hate. I like La Prairie foundation with concealor. It provides great coverage. My mom and I like it and so do most of my friends who have tried. However, I don't like LP compact foundation at all. It's dry, cakey, and powder isn't finely milled at all. As for Darphin, I haven't tried but have considered trying it out myself. It's just too hard to get a hold of where I live so I gave up the idea. |

I haven't used much Darphin at all, it's a bit hard to get acess to their whole range where I live. But I have used a fair bit of LP & I think their products are very good in general, I love the Hydro Repair, hand cream & a few products from their caviar range. Although I generally find the products a bit too highly fragranced ![Confused](images/smiles/confused.gif) |

You like Hydro Repair? I thought LP products for combo/oily skin range were the worst I've tried from LP! I really like LP Caviar Essense for eyes and I'm loving LP Caviar Skin Caviar Luxe Cream for face. |

I have previously tried the whole LP range for oily/combo skin & my skin looked horrible! But the Hydro Repair is the only one in the whole range that leaves my skin soft & smooth because of the AHA/BHA in it. |

I didn't mind LP cleanser for combo/oily skin, but I prefered their Foam Cleanser. Both their day and night creams for combo/oily skin left me looking like a greaseball! |

I have used both LP and darphin.
For me, LP doesn't do anything except the eye cream is good and I love the rose premier. Darphin has been good. I particularly like the intral line when my skin gets sensitive. I haven't used decloer much so I can't compare. But I will try some of the decloer products. Sigh, just too many good products to try. |

i like darphin better too, but note that some of the stuffs are quite fragranced, the arovita C cream made me sneeze like 30 times in a row and i simply cant ever use it without sneezing away until i wash it off. |

I agree with sormuimui that Darphin is an overpriced version of Decleor. I didn't use this brand before.
I used some of La prairie products and like some of them.
1. skin caviar luxe cream. not rich or greasy. I'm comb. skin. This cream is even good for me in summer.
2. Hydration serum.
3. Cellular eye countour cream. One of my favrite two eye creams. pricy though.
4. Anti-wrinkle Anti-spot cream is on my wishlist. |
