Hi Everyone:
I started using MAC cleansing oil a little over a week ago. I haven't tried a new cleanser for as long as ten years because my skin is unbelievably sensitive. Over the last few years, my skin has been a wreck so I finally decided to give cleansing oils a try. I first used MAC Cleanse Off on my nose to test for irritation and I noticed that the blackheads of my nose were a lot less noticable after a few days. So I took the plunge and used it on my entire face. My initial feeling (after a few days) was this stuff was awesome. My skin feel smooth, soft, and my moisturizer sinks in great! At the same time, I feel my face is less irritated. However, I keep getting whiteheads on my chin. They haven't been cysts (which I used to always get) but they are very irritating nonetheless. My chin has always been my problem area so I'm not sure if this a purging. I know a lot of people don't believe in purging but for those that do, does purging usually come out as whiteheads?
Should I keep with this for a little longer?

I am not sure. But I do know that oil-texture products will cause white heads around my nose. You'd better consult with MAC beauty assistant I think. |

If you are getting good results with an oil cleanser then you can try the Oil Cleansing Method by using natural oils and making a batch at home. Commercial cleansing oils often use mineral oil as a base and in the long run it may cause blocked pores. You can try buying some castor oil and avocado/rosehip/olive depending on your skin type. |

My thought, you should consult with BA and change to product which you like. Otherwise, you will brake out soon and it will be worse than now. If BA expain and ask you use more, you should deny it.
Good luck. |
