I wanted to add to my above post about the research I've done on this device. So the hyaluron pen injects hyaluronic acid without a needle. It uses the same system that is used by diabetics who do not want to use a needle but need the insulin. The hyaluron pen, like the insulin pen, uses a quick jet of air to force the product into the skin and makes a small hole in the skin in the process which causes a little bleeding. There is some bruising sometimes.
The hyaluronic acid used in the pen is 20 weight which it seems is less dense than the hyaluronic acid injected by a doctor but because it's softer it isn't as lumpy. From what I can gather it lasts 5 to 6 months in the lips depending on how much is put in and how much each person might absorb it. Because it doesn't go as deep as needle injections it has less chance of hitting a vein. There is a learning curve to this device. I found a sub-reddit forum dedicated specifically to DIY people who use it but I won't post the link it because I don't know if it's allowed.
The price of the hyaluron pen varies from the different sellers. They range from $70.00 to $240.00 for higher end pens. The filler is anywhere from $40 to $80 for a package of several injectable cartridges that screw onto the tip of the pen.
I'm very interested in this because I'm tired of paying $500 to $600 for fillers, so I haven't been been back in about three years. |

| Hello. Im new here and basically was wondering if anyone answered your question. I got a whim and ordered everything I would need to use the pen by myself at home...i just received everything. Got from vianacare. Im scared though!! I dont know anyone who has tried it and was wondering if you did? If you could tell me what your experience was? |
