I just wanted to share a cute picture of my Alima foundation brush in what I'm sometimes using as a 'swirl bowl': a crystal egg cup! It was a leftover from my wedding (we filled the cups with potpourri (sp?) wrapped each in lace and gave away as favours).
Honestly, though, a bigger bowl would work better. I just use this one sometimes because it doesn't take up much space and also it looks very cute...
p/s the cup doesn't gleam in this pic probably because of the mineral dust... |

OMG, too cute!!! I'd love to get one--- do you still remember where you got them? |

If I remember correctly I got them off a shelf in a departmental store's kitchenware section, where they had glassware and crystal vases etc.
I'm in Malaysia. I imagine any good departmental store would carry them.
On a sidenote, I hear crystalware is really cheap in Vietnam... |

Thats a great idea and it doesn't take up a lot of space. I use a small white oval glass soap holder that I "borrowed" from a hotel. |

I use a lovely thin porcelain cup designed for soy-based dipping sauce. I also have a plastic dish intended for the same purpose that I take with me when traveling (due to weight and non-breakability). My local well-stocked Japanese grocery had loads of options. (Also, I bought a bunch of tiny, fish-shaped containers that each hold about a teaspoon or so of liquid. They're designed to fill with soy sauce for bento lunch boxes, but I use mine to take small quantities of serums to stuff into my 1 quart TSA approved ziplock bag... ) |

Great idea! I use a little plastic cup that came with a face mask from "True". It works perfectly, is plastic and fits in my make up bag along with my makes up. So I can take it along. |

This may not be a good idea for taking through customs, as in some parts of the world those fish are used for selling drugs in! ![Shock](images/smiles/shock.gif) |
