Has anyone tried Lavere Lip Expert? Here's what they say about it:
Lavere's Lip Expert features only the purest ingredients sourced from certified organic agriculture, along with their own naturally produced essences and fruit extracts, such as Sepilift, a plant-derived protein that stimulates skin function and protects your lips from free radical damage.
It's anti-ageing and plumps the lips! I wanna try it...but for $50, I want to check with my forum-pals first if anyone has tried it?
I sooooo want to believe in this product, since I've been forever on a quest for a natural lip-plumper  |

I don't know about this product you've found ... and I'm not sure I'd part with $50 for it either ... unless someone else raved about it. Have you looked on Makeup Alley?
However, in terms of a "natural lip plumper" ... I found out accidentally that vegetable glycerine is one such "animal".
I slicked some on my lips somewhat thickly one night ... and my lips [particularly my upper lip] plumped so much that it was almost painful.  Indeed ... I almost didn't know how to "position" them!
Now ... the plumping didn't stay for more than a few hours ... although there was still some plumping left in the morning ... but the real downside is that it takes rather a long time for vegetable glycerine to "dry" or "absorb".
Still ... vegetable glycerine is a very natural and effective lip plumper.  I just haven't decided if that's a good or a bad thing ...

Now waitaminute, Mary, you’re horning in on my territory! I’m the one who’s supposed to discover all of the bizarre lip plumping products and ingredients so I feel like you’re trying to steal my thunder!!
Seriously, I wonder if I’ll be able to wait until I get home today to try the veggie glycerin trick (I have a couple bottles in my ‘raw ingredients’ drawer), or if I’ll be so desperate to give it a try that I’ll have to run down the street to one of the drugstores and pick up a bottle?! Oh well, I suppose I could rationalize it by saying I’m really go up to CVS to pick up as many tubes of Ardell as they’ve got to give as stocking stuffers....
So, anyway, was the glycerin at all moisturizing? I’ve included glycerin in my homemade lip balms before – to give it ‘slip’ – but I don’t recall it having any plumping effect, but it could have been because it was diluted or something. I wonder if you weren’t having an allergic reaction to the glycerin? Have you tried the HA/collagen pills for plumping?
BTW, did you ever receive your BE samples? |

| P.S. Who is it that hates ‘parabens,’ is it you HH? The reason I’m asking is because I read somewhere the other day that parabens are ‘natural preservatives’ derived from raspberries or bosyenberries or something. God, I wish I could remember where I read that, but I remember thinking I should probably take it with a grain of salt because if it was such a ‘natural’ ingredient then I don’t think you’d be so adamant ly against it.... |

So the Lavere lip expert is only 20 euros there...I'm getting that, the Lavere lifting-serum, eye-cream and some Dr. Hauschka stuff (rythmic night conditioner is ALOT cheaper).

I'm bumping this to find out if anyone's currently using this and liking it. I'm using LipFusion XL but it would be nice to have a more natural choice.
Also I am curious, those who do use this do you use it only at night like LipFusion XL or do you use it throughout the day? The cost difference per tube isn't that much but - if you use it repeatedly all day at $50 a tube it works out to be more expensive than LipFusion XL.

| Erm I've used Lavere products before but I gave up on them after like a few uses and just passed the whole lot to my friends. Although it's natural and all but I couldn't stand the texture or the smell (which is quite unusual for me as I'm even ok with herbal/medicinal smells). And for that cost I really felt I could have tried something else better so yup just my 2 cents |

I agree, Lavere did not impress me. I tried the "plumper" and some creams and cleansers. I also gave it all away. Very disappointed. I am an all organic freak- atleast try to be- but I still have not found any product better then the Lipfusion XL... I use it during the day, it makes my lips naturally rosy and plump. If anyone finds a better natural alternative, let me know!
