Same here. I was actually thinking about starting a similar thread here today.
Since I have found this forum....
I feel empowered. Never again to be sucked in by nice packaging or slick advertising.
Have bagged all my "doesn't cut it products" and given them to my daughter in law. She loves the little care packages.
Have learned how to save ALOT of money on DIY recipes. And at the same time, really ticked off that I didn't know about OCM, Asprin masks, etc. years ago!!
Have spent ALOT of money <lol, tit for tat ya know > on far superior products than I had been purchasing or even knew exsisted.
Since finding EDS the list of items I've purchased is far too long to list but here's a few of the highlights <read, favorites>
The tree-huggin hippy lady at the health food store and I are becoming quick friends I'm in there at least once a week picking up this or that...
PSF - What a great line of products. Even the ones that don't seem to work for me still show the quality and pride in each of their products. Personal favorites right now - O2 Serum and Retinol Night Treatment
Alpha-Derma (JB) - Boy, alot of drama with that company. But, quality products that despite personal feelings will bring me back. Personal Fav's - Facial Prep and Okuskil <sp?> (too lazy to walk downstairs to check the spelling, sorry )
Epidermex, Derma Butter, Camellia Oil - My 1st product purchases after finding EDS. VERY happy with all 3 - will NEVER be without them.
I've now stopped using my BE (of which I had been using for several years now) and switched to Pure Luxe. Another product I never knew exsisted til I came here.
Of course as others anxiously awaiting Dr. Hollands Super Lash Treatment.. Geez - and I always thought my lashes were ok til I found out you could make em better....who knew? Not I!!
I buy asprin by the mega-bottles now, and go through honey now like it's going out of style!
Let me take this opportunity to thank all of you for your time and honesty posting here. I've been a member here for a very short time but have been able to totally revamp my beauty routine and for the 1st time have seen REAL results. My complexion has improved by leaps and bounds. My face looks at least 5 years younger already which of course makes me feel like a million bucks. Everyone of you has played a part in helping me feel good about myself every day. Thank you to EDS and all of you. |

My list would be too long to list everything I found since joining EDS almost 2 years ago, but things I NEVER would have tried without finding this website are:
1) HA/Collagen supplements for lip plumping
2) Ear drops for teeth whitening
3) CellularskinRx products (love the Relax-a-line and the Polishg Grains)
4) DreamLash (DreamLips did nothing so I figured DreamLash would be a waste, too)
Love all the advice, product reviews, and wonderful people found on this site.

Me too! I laughed out loud when I read this. As long as I'm wearing mascara, I've always thought my blonde lashes were ok....not extraordinary, but ok. I was so intrigued from all the reviews on Ardell, I couldn't not try it! And now I notice new little lashes sprouting...when I use my eyelash curler, they're not long enough to fit in the curler, and I've never noticed such a thing before. I figure it must be the Ardell. I can't wait to try Dr. Holland's formula. |

Sunscreen (I know….sad, isn’t it??)
Vivier
IS Clinical
PSF (going to order Pumpkin peel!!)

DDF
Anthony (for the SO)
I would be clueless without this forum and all the chicas that know what they are doing and are nice enough to help the newbie’s! |

Between discovering this site and MUA, I've tried more products than I can remember. Think I may need to get a second job ! From EDS:
PSF - Love the Green Tea Cleanser, Toner, Emergen-C 20%; may try the retinol treatment.
Ardell/Dreamlash
Pure Luxe Line Eraser, Color correctors
ACV &
Honey Use these for hair
MK Ultimate Mascara
Revlon Luxurious Lengths Like this one even more
Have tried countless eyecreams trying to rid myself of the dark circles that are the bane of my existence, but have resigned myself to the fact that they are hereditary and there's only so much any eyecream can do. At this point, I'm just trying to perfect my concealer application--quick, easy & natural looking ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Omigosh - where do I begin? I didn't know that 90% of the products mentioned on here even existed until I found this forum. When I was a teenager (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth) there weren't that many choices in skin care, especially at the corner drugstore (Wal Mart didn't even exist back then). That was really the only option unless you were movie-star rich and went off to some exotic spa with mysterious treatments that were beyond the comprehension of us mere mortals. So it was Clearsil and Noxema for us, followed by (hangs head in shame) basting ourselves with that lovely concoction of baby oil and iodine to give us that sun-kissed glow while we roasted ourselves under the sun.
And for nearly 40 years, I rarely moved beyond this point. I did venture off into Clinque for a while, Mary Kay, a few other things, but never saw much bang for the buck so I just stuck to whatever new and improved product Neutrogena or Oil of Olay or L'Oreal came out with on the drugstore shelves.
Well, despite all this, my skin looked pretty good for my age - no real lines or sun damage (despite my misspent youth). But I never could have imagined myself going without makeup because of all the redness/spots/dark circles I wanted to cover. And my skin just looked dull, dull, dull.
Last summer, after seeing Hylexin ads in every magazine I opened, I thought I would research it before spending that kind of cash. That's when I stumbled on this forum and it totally changed my entire approach to skin care. In retrospect, it would have been cheaper just to buy the Hylexin, even it it didn't work!!
Some of the things that I didn't have a clue about before but couldn't live without now:
Vitamin C serum
IS Clinical
PSF products
my Diamancel foot file - greatest thing ever invented
OCM - just tried this recently and can't believe I waited so long
Lucia/Ardell/1000 hours lash tint - never in a million years could I have imagined ordering products from New Zealand and Japan
Epidermx
Pureology hair products
Mineral makeup
I'm sure there are many more, but those are the ones off the top of my head.
Anyway, this is a great site that has helped me to find the products that work for me and to recognize when something is overpriced crap. And thanks to all the info I've picked up here, my skin looks better than it ever has. In fact, I was at my doctor's office yesterday, and the nurse actually said "you're kidding" when I told her my age!! |

I also stumbled upon this forum when I was trying to find out more about a particular product. Now, I'd never buy any skin care items without checking here first, even knowing they may not produce similar results for me. The kind of feedback available on this forum, PLUS the design of the forum (as opposed to MUA) is invaluable to me. This is a very caring community of product junkies! Like all of you, I've tried many mentioned here.
Ones that've worked for me:
Avene and LaRoche Posay sunscreens
SkinCeuticals Retinol .5%, CE Ferulic serum
IS Clinical Firming Complex
JB Mineral Skin Prep, ADCE, and DermaExcel7
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
Terax shampoo and conditioner
T.LeClerc loose powder in Camellia, Rose Sable blush
MAC false eyelashes
PSF Pumpkin Mask
Ones that didn't:
HA tablets
Lucia
Prevage
Stri-Vectin
Okusil
Stila Convertible Color
So-so/jury's still out products:
Lipfusion
IS CLinical Super Serum
SkinCeuticals Phyto+
Decleor Prolagene Gel, Hydrotenseur serum (JUST started these)
Thinking of trying:
ReVive Intensite Volumizing Serum
Decleor Vitaroma Emulsion for Face |

I tried to think of this but I can't come up with a list. I think I've been here for too long (and started when it was still pretty quiet here) and thus it's all a bit of a blur However, there are lots of things I have tried based on reviews here and also lots of products I have tried because I was EDS window shopping. For example, I would never have been able to try Cellcosmet if not for EDS selling it (I can't imagine how much it would sell for in Australia....) and if not for Barbara's encouragement . The same goes for Valmont, etc On top of that there are many regular enablers on here who I credit/blame for my rather substantial skincare collection but I'm loving every minute of it even if my credit card is not
ps. Great idea for a thread Sharkbait! ![](images/smiles/eusa_clap.gif) |

This is a great forum and I learn something new practically every day. Thanks everyone! |

WOW! Great thread... ok, here is my list:
1) OCM (who would have thought oil controls oil?!)and now I purchase the needed oils..castor oil, grapeseed oil, and EVOO.
2) Jojoba oil (I like this better than EMU-which I tried because of EDS and really liked until I tried jojoba.)
3) ACV Toner (Dr. Hollands)-apple cider vinager and distilled water. ACV has no known uses in cooking that I know of. I mean, in a world that has Stoffers lasagna who needs cooking?
4) Witch Hazel (I LOVE Thayers non-alcohol WH with Aloe, Vit E, and Rose.)
5) HH Dr. Hollands CC-raw almonds or organic almond butter.
6) 100% Shea and Cocoa butter - I wanted to make a lip balm, but I wrote down the ingredients for Lushy's Buffy on my list of stuff to get at Wild Oats (this is before I 'really' read Guapagirls post.) I now have Avocado oil, shea and cocoa butter, but no lip balm. Who knew Lushy's Buffy was for the 'other' set of lips? Oh well, it wasn't a complete waste because I found I LOVE both butters in the natural state. My hands and face love the shea butter at night and the Queen Helene stick is a good lip conditioner at night too.
7) EO (esp. Ylang Ylang, lemon, and lavendar)
8- Lauren Hutton's Face Disk, brushes and video.
9) Ardell lash serum
10) JB products (prep, CE)
11) Decleor (Matte fluid, ylang balm and oil)
12) Dr. Hollands super sonic aspirin mask-uncoated aspirin, aloe gel.
13) DR. Hollands Vit. C serum (glycerin, vit C powder)
14) Carrier oils (sweet almond oil and apricot oil).
15) Avocado oil (I will find a use for this one yet!).
16) Spring Valley supplements (haven't seen any plumping yet but its only day 3)
My list of wants include:
1) Dr. Hollands lash serum (I think she should make an informercial with all of us in it. )
2) Blinc mascara
3) PSF products...pumpkin mask, peach scrub, 02 serum.
4) full size Decleor products
5) Lucia lash serum
6) Mac blot powder
On its way: 1000 hour kit |

I'm not a big poster but I do check out this forum every week. If not for EDS I wouldn't have purchased:
Janson Beckett
1000 Eyelash (black and brown)
Epidermx/camelia oil
Rosa Fruta
I still want to try IS Clinical and the facelift mask that is the same as Naomi Judd's line (can't remember the name!).
Thanks for all the great posts and feedback. |

I just started a serious skincare routine a couple of years ago after my first honeymoon trip to a spa - who knew that's where the good stuff is? Before that it was oil of olay. Funny that girls so often learn about makeup and camoflauge (sp?) first but we learn about the skincare so late I am enjoying this forum so much, ladies, thanks for all your help and honesty and laughs.
My new fav's since finding EDS:
HA pills
glyoxy gel
PSF pumpkin peel, tea cleanser, 1% retinol, vitC 20%
I haven't tried the ACV toner. Does anyone remember vinegar/water rinses being all the rage in magazines in the 80s for shiny hair? ![Cool](images/smiles/cool.gif) |

Lots of products in my anti aging beauty quest have come & gone, but...there are some that I've found here that I would never, ever choose to be without!
The first was AlphaDemaCE. It is awesome beyond awesome. And then along came the DermaExcel. Two remarkable products for me. (And never ever have I, personally, had a problem with the staff or shipping. They've always gone above & beyond the call of duty for service.)
Then PSF became irreplaceable. The eye gel & moisturizers are wonderful but have moved to the side (still use them, though) for the StimuColl-C Intensive Eye Serum. My eyes are super sensitive and this stuff doesn't bother them, keeps the greasies at bay and it is definitely tightening my lids.) Again, the other things in their line are very, very good but this one someone would need to break my arm to get out of my hand. The Pumpkin Enzyme Peel would be in my other hand. The customer service is totally A-plus, plus, plus; always reliable & helpful. It should be an example (of good!) to all!
I now also always use a C serum but I find all the top ones interchangeable.
I am always open-minded on EDS and it's all been fun & for the better! ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

Everything in my skincare routine I use:
Dr. H Revitalizing Mask
IS Clinical cleansing Wash
IS Proheal
IS Hydracool
IS Eye Complex
IS Active
Ardell lash
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (which I reall don't even have to ever use anymore)
But the most valuable lesson has been about Vitamin C use. Also invaluable is the advice and reviews of products and HOW/WHY to apply the products. |
