I found this on MUAC website. Does this look like a good C product? Was curious what you all thought about adding MAP and Tetra to this? Here are the ingredients:
Ingredients:
20% L-Ascorbic acid
50% Hyaluronic base
Green Tea Extract
Ethoxydiglycol penetration enhancer.
pH 3.0-3.1 (Stable, Very effective and less irritating in this range)
Thanks in advance. |

Yes, rileygirl, you must certainly can. What you'll end up with is an approximation of Candy's Triple C serum. It won't be quite as nice as Candy's but I'm guessing it will be effective. |

Thank you so much Katee. I was having trouble deciding where to use the tetra and was sure hoping this one would work! Thanks again for the help! |

Hi Rileygirl
I'm a bit of a DIY novice myself, but my understanding is that the Tetra can only be mixed in oil bases and L-ascorbic in water bases. You'll need an emulsifier to mix the oil and water parts together properly; I believe the Candy serum uses Polysorbate 20 to do that, but there are other options. (correct me if I'm wrong anyone).
I highly recommend Carol Demas book 'Make your own effective cosmetic treatments'(http://www.cafepress.com) to wade through the basics quickly and it's cheap.
(p.s. I think you'd need to add the Tetra to a little oil before you mixed the two halves. How much oil, which oil I dunno) |

Thanks Molly, I will definitely look into the book! I do have an emulsifier and will use that. |
